Which one has the better DVR? I had DishNetwork for years. I feel the DVR is smarter and much faster with DishNetwork. What does anyone who had both think?

I need at least 2 more inputs. My router has 4. I need to connect 6 devices. Dish receiver, 2 computers, xbox, Magicjack and Vonage.

How do I do that to the router I want to use as a switch? Will it effect the speed with it. I was going to use the second router for my Vonage and Magicjack phones. If it will be a problem using the router, I have no problem just buying an 8 port switch.
