I think the lower tier SD channels are comparable, ie bad. The digital channels (300 & above) look better with less variability of Dish (I don't know the algorithms they use to figure one channel deserves more bandwidth than another). Comcast does have more HD than Dish, including Max...

I had issue too, did the power cut off & on, but the problem in Switch Test was having a diplexer on one of the outbound receiver lines (affected even a line w/o a diplexer or some alien phenomenon). I actually order and received a new 64 from Mark at DishDepot before I figured out the diplexor...

It appears that the disk must be corrupted. If I ditch a lot of stored programming it records fine then has the problem for all subsequent recordings. Is there a support phone I can call to get a replacement w/o trying a series of 20 inane and not working diagnostic step with an uniformed...

I am happy with the 921, if only because I have Voom for OTA & non-Dish channels. That said if FW is not implimented I will be fit to be tied & I think there is a dastardly plot to delay until after the Apr cut off for FCC. I am assuming Mark would give you the $50 towards something...

I could find the adjustment on the 811 but no can find on 921. I know I'm probably just not looking, but based on comparisons may disconnect DVI and just leave on component. The SD upconversion looks better on the 811 as well. Tim

I am actually finding the SD material in HD mode looks worse. I may go back to component or do a kludge macro to go to SVideo for lower def. Disappointing. Also, does anyone else have a left shift on DVI or a way to correct it? Tim
