    I use an amplified HDMI splitter driving a 40 foot run between floors with no problems The 40' HDMI cable is 24ga 3/8" diameter made by Rix Labs bought from Amazon. The biggest HDMI cable I've ever seen. I am able to remotely change channels with the RF remote by holding it close to the HDMI cable.

    Only if you are also subscribed to Dish locals, otherwise it just says "digital service" for the name of the program in the guide. Dish had it turned on accidently a few years ago for a short time for everyone with an ota module (or maybe it was just to tease us).

    Our PBS affiliate has 4 channels, our ABC affiliate has 2, but Dish only carries the first channel of each. I'm glad I'm grandfathered so I don't have to pay $60 a year for less local channels than my OTA module provides.

    I will give that a try the next time I am out there. The trick is to get check switch to see 129 on one of the ports.

    I used an 8' ground rod connected with #6 copper wire to the dish and connected to a grounding block on the coax from the dish. I ran the RG6 coax through 1/2" flexible plastic conduit.

    I receive 119 on port 2, but port 1 just says connected when I do a test switch. I am pretty sure that it is aimed correctly. I can receive 119/129 on a 500 pro connected to a DP34 external switch, but it appears that 129 is blocked on the 500 pro plus with the internal switch. I am using a 222k...

    HD HBO channels dead until power on reset I tried viewing the HBO HD channels during the free preview weekend and all were dead until I did a power on reset. That's the first time that has happened to me.

    Does your subscription include the locals? I have a grandfathered annual account without locals, which is why I do not get the program guide on any of the OTA channels.

    I was told by a CSR (while complaining about the $58+ increase in my bill) that they no long sell annual subscriptions. Is that true? I own my own receiver and dishes and am on the annual HD200 tier w/o locals.

    I assumed what you meant by WA with a wing dish, was 110/119 with a dish 500 and a 129 HD upgrade with a dish 300 or 500. I own my own stuff and added a dish on 129 to upgrade to HD.

    I have not had a intermittant signal loss screen on any channel since I removed our local WX 006-04 from my MT2. This channel aways displayed a signal loss screen even though the signal level on that channel is at 95%.

    I think that local broadcasting in general is swirling around the drain as the competition for entertainment and information keeps increasing. The profits pie can only be sliced so many ways.

    intermittent signal loss

    Might be caused by my MT2 plug-in as some other people have suggested. KBJR WX channel 006-04 with a 95 signal strength, for some reason always displays signal loss screen. I removed it from the local channel list and so far, no more intermittant signal loss warnings. We'll see if it lasts.

    Same here... I get a signal level of 50-55 on 129 and 60-70 on 110 and 119. I get a couple of signal loss screens an hour and have to change channels up and down to get the channel back that I was watching such as CNN HD.     My suggestion for the a firmware upgrade would be to have "not rated" be a separate category from "adults only" and be the default when there is no EPG for the channel.

    Every local channel on my VIP222k MT2 is rated NR/AO, TV-MA? In order to watch local channels, I either have to enter a pin for every local channel or open up the receiver to no restrictions which I don't want to do. I do not have locals on subscription so no EPG. Any fix for this?
