I can state that hdmi does pass through dolby digital You do have to enable it. Go to setup then audio output. The first choice allows you to enable dolby pass through on hdmi It works fine on my system

I got my hopper on Monday. I tried 4k vod and got kicked out also Tuesday at 5pk I tried again and got 4k video I do believe that 4k is spooled it just takes longer. so if you cannot get 4k through vod then try it again

4k TV are not that expensive anymore. consider this you can buy a 50 inch 2015 smart tv at best buy for $1000 dollars. The brand is a Samsung TV
