Recently took advantage of the upgrade to Gold promotion. Was looking at the HD for that package and the Dish Website seems to say that The Movie Channel (on channel 329 and 330) are in HD. On my guide they just show up in SD. Could someone confirm if they get those channels in HD? Thanks!

One of the pictures has the "HD Duo DVR " as a requirement. It sounds like the VIP 612 would be out. I am thinking of switching over and with one TV looks like I could only get the VIP 612 (Not planning on paying the extra for the 922). Anybody with some clarity on this?

I have the same problem with a year old Sony Bravia. Dish told me it was a software issue on their side. As to yours, with a tv that old it may not have HDCP compliance. On the Dish site it stated tv's made since 2005 should work. You could try using component cables.

I got an offer in the Mail yesterday from DirectTV and in the literature it states that they have 200 HD channels coming. That is 200 more HD Channels!!! Kind of hard to believe.

I have a Sony Bravia and a VIP 612 that is doing this with VOD and PPV. Very irratating. The HDCP works fine on my xbox 360 that is also plugged in via HDMI. The Sony Bravia is a little less than a year old and is HDCP compliant. Guess ALL of my PPV money will be going the Xbox way.

I gave up. I switched when the price increased from the 250 DDA with Gold HD to the TurboHD Gold to save some money. I thought surely I would get new HD that was in the Gold HD package. Now I realize the TurboHD packages are basically second class packages and switched back to the Classic 250...

Let's face it, the TurboHD packages do not get all the HD channels. This is they way it will be. I am disappointed that Dish decided to make TurboHD less than what it could have been.
