Pretty sure you only need one coax at each location. My HDDVR only has one coax cable to it but I have a SWM setup so im not sure if that has anything to do with it. It would probably be cheaper for you to get the multi room viewing deal rather than 3 DVR boxes. If you are pre-wiring anyway...

What a rip off. They are going to charge us a monthly fee? Talk about a load of hogwash to charge for what is basically a software update. This is almost worse than Dish charging you $40 just so you can add an external HDD. More people should be outraged by this.

I dont think I have it yet, but hopefully it speeds up the response for me. It can be painfully slow at times to do anything.

I could agree with that if Dish's boxes weren't 100 times faster than D* boxes. D* boxes are way slower and it's extremely annoying since I just came over from Dish.

I wouldn't doubt it. The HR22 is painfully slow at times. Maybe it's because I am comparing it to the ViP622 I just came from, but I want to pull my hair out at times waiting for the HR22 to change a channel or go to the guide. It can be very frustrating!

Well, there is a difference by a large margin between Dish HD DVR boxes (the 622 and 722) and the D* HD DVR boxes (HR22 is the only one I have used). Maybe the newest regular HD receiver from Dish is slow, but their flagship HD DVR's (622, 722) are very fast comparitavely and I have used both...
