Well, this took a while. Here's what happened. I called Retention and the rep told me that the computer would not let him order an HR54 to replace the 17. He sent me a replacement 17 which did exactly what I thought it would do...nothing! While he seemed to be trying, my needs were not served...

Thank you for all the information. I thought that maybe the delay problem might be with the C61K, but that wasn't it either. I guess I'll be calling retention soon. I hope we can get this resolved, I don't think I'll ever get used to the delay.

Nope, native is turned off. I assume that when I change the display settings that I am adjusting the C61 settings. Is there an adjustment for the HS17 settings as well and if so, how do I find it and what should the settings be?

No, using 4 wired clients (C61). 2 are 4K and 2 are not. I'll check the resolution. Oops, I never even looked at it after the installer did the setup. Only the HD & 4K settings are showing and they are checked starting with 720P. In all honesty, I don't see where resolution would come into play...

You've got quite awhile until the Super Bowl. In the meanwhile, why don't you just drag your HR21 over and plug it in. If you get your locals in HD, you'll be good...if not, you'll still have time to make the necessary upgrades. :)

I don't have an HR23, but do have a couple of HR20s connected using Windows Media Player and XP. Did you add and enable the device there? (Options>>library>>configure sharing)

That leads me to believe that your dish is not out of alignment. I don't remember which sat. the guide comes from, but I'm quite sure it isn't the 99. I do know from personal experience that without the guide...you get nothing. :( It sounds like something went wrong when you took the CE...

I'm really glad they added the 30 second skip option. It's one of the few things I miss from my years with Dish Network. The easier access to CC is also nice. :) OTOH, messing with the "to do" was a step backward. :(
