Correct - I never put them into standby.

My DVRs are never in standby and all of them have experienced the delays in changing channels, so if DIRECTV identified "standby" as the root cause I hope they continue to investigate... I'm still seeing longer than normal delays changing channels, even after restarting on my own and even after...

Just a reminder: if you restart your DVR twice within a short time span your guide cache will be cleared and will need to be rebuilt. This doesn't pose a problem, but don't be alarmed if you immediately go to the guide after the second restart and don't see program titles beyond the next day or...

You can get a version of the TiVo List Guide in the DIRECTV receivers to see what's coming up next as follows: GUIDE* > LEFT > INFO. This moves the highlight left into the channel number column and INFO then brings up a list of the shows coming up next on that channel. To jump to the next...
