    Sorry...there is no way to "manually" do it....(there is a way to add a second set of channels where there is overlap....but this will not work with Canadian stations) One of the disadvantages to the AM-21 is no channel scan.

    Not gonna happen for a long time. Digital subchannels are still a big unknown for most broadcasters as no one is making any money with them. Satellite companies are going to wait and see, before they add additional capacity for those channels.

    Within reason, ......cost should not be the deciding factor....in short, you get you pay for. Dish has always been the cheap option.

    Just finished a 24 hour test.....when I switched to below, the temp went from 119 to 109...tonight I have put some 1" small wood strips between the units to provide more air movement. With the AM 21 unit directly on top, the temp did reach 121 and was very warm on my hand.

    HA....Eric you know how we feel about Maze & Blue :D The AU9 is mounted on a standard D* 2" mounting pole....then it slides INSIDE the heavy duty pipe galvanized 2 1/2" ( but be sure to check this) which provides a firm fit. The screw which holds the cross brace in place is long enough to go...

    I think you will be fine getting it done. Also....depending on how high your pole is and if it is close enough to the house.....suggest a cross brace from the house to the pole. It really helps when those winds come in over the lake :)
