    DirecTV Class Action Thrown Out

Always good to see the " perpetually aggrieved class " including their representation lose any and all suits.

Where are the Big Ten Network overflow channels?

Netflix has a nice selection of TV series. I watch a lot of them myself. You're right, I always assumed you were a huge Movie Buff since you advocated non stop for addittional Premium Movie Channels in HD.Both here and the DBS site also. At least I think it was you under a slightly...

Where are the Big Ten Network overflow channels?

Tell the Conference to try and be competitive in a Rose Bowl for a stretch of time and I will then afford them the respect of using their moniker correctly. Glad to see you've moved on, and given up flogging the dead horse of adding addittional Premium Movie Channels in HD. Agreed that the...

Where are the Big Ten Network overflow channels?

Chill out Tom. The Big 10 Alt feeds will be there. Don't you have an EMail address to spam demanding the rest of the Premium Movie Channels in HD so you can see Fletch or Hot Shots Part Deux for the 29th time.:D

    DirecTV Will Pass On Epix

Kudos to D** for realizing that the Premium Movie channel Market is dying a slow death. Far too many other outlets to see second run movies. I don't expect D*** to add any additional Premium Movie Channels when D12 goes active either. I suspect D** will priortize their customers in the...

What do you guys think about Direct HD Expansion

I know the feeling. In the early 80's I, would not buy a house that my wife wanted becuase of it being outside the city limits of the small town I resided in then. Cable didn't get out that far.:) I switched to DBS in the earliest days. On the same front I wouldn't buy/build now if I...

What do you guys think about Direct HD Expansion

Change providers tomcat. Sounds like FIOS eould be a good provider for you. What's'that? You say it's not available in your area? Move! Premium Movie channels seem to be very important to you.:D

What do you guys think about Direct HD Expansion

Skottey, you are confusing my statements with another poster that mentioned the basic package add ons. If it were soley up to me my choices would be AMC,(Breaking Bad, Mad Men) Travel Channel, ESPNU and WGN. As for your refernce to taxes, if it were me: Income taxes would be abolished...

What do you guys think about Direct HD Expansion

I'm not going to get in a neverending debate other than to correct the term selfish. Plenty of channels already on there that I don't watch.Plenty that will be added in the future that I won't watch. I'm all for anybody speaking out about their own personal desires and tastes. My point...

What do you guys think about Direct HD Expansion

Tomcat agreed that the original Series are the only reason to watch HBO/Showtime. I was a huge fan of the Larry Sanders Show among others. Still just far too many other avenues to make those Channels being added in HD, worthwhile IMO.

What do you guys think about Direct HD Expansion

Agreed. I was a premium Sub from from the Mid 90-s until the last couple of years. I'd even go as far as saying while I would prefer any forthcoming Channel addittions to be Glorious HD that would not be true in case of Premium Movie Channels. I'd take SD Channels before wanting any more...

What do you guys think about Direct HD Expansion

DirecTV Pecking order 1. Sports Fans 2. All other subs except 3.(Trailing by a substantial margin) Fans of Premium Movie channels. Far too many other avenues to watch/Rent Movies.

What do you guys think about Direct HD Expansion

Kudos to J. Malone and DirecTV for properly realizing that more Premium Movie Channels in HD is a terrible waste of time, bandwidth and financial resources. No matter how many times you rant otherwise TomCat. Though skottey let me quickly add that I too would cast a vote for you as POTUS based...

What happened to being the HD leader?

I've had premium since it's inception. Didn't say anything about not watching the premiums, I watch them fairly regularly and Wife watches them more than I do. There are some good blocks of original programming on several of the premium services. Sadly nothing as good as the Larry Sanders...

What happened to being the HD leader?

Kudos to D for that also. Last thing I want added, are more bandwidth wasting premiums that repeat the same movies incessantly, that have already been shown in a theater, made available on PPV, been released on DVD and run ad nauseam on Premium Channels(fill in the blank) 1-7. And yes I...

What happened to being the HD leader?

Agreed 100%. I'm a premium sub, have been for years, (since the days of thinking the $800 dish was money well spent:)) I would like to see some more networks in HD, but that being said I would take new networks in SD only, long before wanting to see bandwidth wasted on adding more premium...

when are we getting more premium channels / HD premium channels?

Nor is watching a movie on HBO 8 after it has been released in a theater, made available on DVD, been offered on PPV and run repeatedly on HBO's 1-7.:) Not a Tennis fan either, but give me a single camera feed on every player in the Aussie Open with their own bandwidth wasting channels long...

when are we getting more premium channels / HD premium channels?

I'd like to commend "D" for not wasting bandwidth on any more premium Movie channels. While I understand others feel differently and would not try to change any of those opinions, Just wanted to comment that the Premiums would be last on the list of anything I would want added. Not trying...

Do any of you subscribe to the NFL Ticket?

100% Correct in your assessment. The Cablers will never have access to NFL ST. Yes they can go trough the process of bidding when the next contract comes up, but as long as the NFL is paired with OTA Network partners it(NFL ST) will be the exclusive property of the DBS crowd.
