Other than finding an installer willing to risk the charge backs and repeat service calls if he does have a problem. We were trained to have a 5 degree window on either side of the sat to ensure that there wouldn't be problems, and the picture the OP posted doesn't have that much of a window...

Maybe, if the only sats you need are the 99/101/103 but I doubt you're going to find an installer willing to do it simply because there is not enough of a buffer zone between the trees. Most installers aren't going to set themselves up for repeated service calls for intermittent signal problems...

Actually, it is not EVERY major provider other than DirecTV. Looking at their coverage map, only select cable companies in select areas carry it. A quick glance at the map shows about 20 states that don't have it via their cable provider. TV JAPAN: 24/7 Japanese Broadcasting Channel

Neither does DirecTV...that is what they consider a vacation home. As long as the receivers are transported back and forth with the customer, there is no issue. It becomes account stacking when receivers are at both locations and are being used at the same time.

I'm thinking that maybe the OP did unplug it when he was on the phone with the CSR, but it couldn't get a signal until the snow had melted off. Once the snow was gone, the system needed to be rebooted again.

Depending upon the equipment the customer wants, $200 is ridiculously low. To purchase an HD-DVR, for example, the cost was several hundred dollars. The $200 might be enough to purchase a non-DVR SD only receiver and dish but that would be about it.

Yep. Cheaper to mirror them than to replace every MPEG2 receiver out there.

Even if it's not free, it may be cheaper to go through DirecTV than to try and purchase everything you would need on your own.
