How many TVs can I hook up???

I am thinking of switching over to Directv from Dish. I am interested in getting 2 HD DVRs and 3 regular receivers. Is this possible from Directv? I am tired of waiting for Dish to get the Omaha locals up, and Directv has them. Also, I can't stand everytime I call Dish, I get someone whom I...

I just found out the the Directv DVRs do not have PIP?? What does everyone do? PIP is a big deal for me! Is there anything else that I should know before I make the switch?? I like with Directv that you have one receiver for each TV, and they have the NFL and MLB packages, and my...

Couple of quick HD DVR questions

Now that I am making the switch, and yes I have a friend who I am giving the referral too, I have a couple of DVR questions. First, is there a PIP function? If there is, can it be side by side like Dishes DVR? Second, what can I do so that they do not have to run two cables to the DVRs...

    Newbie to Directv

Ok, I am making the switch to Directv due to us moving to Omaha, and they have the locals in HD there. Also, I am going to get the NFL package. Anyway, in looking at the forums, I have noticed many different numbers for their HD DVRs. Is there one I should ask for, or will I receive the most...

Thinking of switching to Directv from Dish

I am moving in Mid July to Omaha, NE from a stupid SE Iowa farm town. I am so glad my wife and I were offered new jobs. Anyway, Directv has the Omaha locals in HD and Dish does not. Also, the new house we are buying is larger than the one we have now, so it will be hard for the remotes to...

New Directv HD DVR HR-20 is (not) available

Well, I don't know what else to say. She was obviously reading from something, and told me it was the HR-20 model, with the MPEG 4 cabability, and that it was indeed the newest one available. She even went on to compair the new recording cabability vs the old one.

New Directv HD DVR HR-20 is (not) available

I do not have Directv as of yet. So I called them to see what it would take to sign up now with their current offer, and what it would take to get the new HR-20 when it came out. She told me to hold on, and when she came back, she told me that the HR-20 would be the HD DVR that I would get. I...
