Hello Everyone, I have no direct knowledge of Indiana or Illinois but in the state of New Jersey the owner of the property IS definitely responsible for utilities if a tenant defaults. I do not believe this covers Directv as it is not considered a utility. Just my 2 cents

Yes i have had the protection plan. it has paid off for me as i live in the northeast united states so wind is an issue as my dish gets thrown out of alignment at least once a winter.

i have had 2 boxes replaced and neither time was my commitment extended. i verified this with customer service when boxes were activated by me. i was told the original commitment was in effect but not extended. also had an older box replaced and again no extension of commitment

it makes no difference at all what tv is hooked up, other than the fact the installer might be confused as to how to get it to work correctly. no one asks ever if it is high def tv. just be sure to make the installer leave you the hdmi cable that comes in the box.

3.99 ? i dont know where you live but the average monthly price here in phila/s jersey area is about 15 bucks for a high def dvr. which is what i own so thats what im comparing to

ok lets talk facts here, if this is a one box account the point is moot. it would not be signal theft at all. his box would only get the channels he subscribes to. if there is more than one box then that is a whole other ballgame. i would call them and just change addresses for a month. boom done.

Hello, dont think this is as big a deal as some make it out to be. If you call and explain you are moving and service is not available (this you may have to prove) i would bet that directv would be willing to work with you. You would of course have to return yur equipment. good luck
