Sometimes you make me wonder if you have a screw loose and there are times you actually make sense but the above quote you are not making any sense "to me" the guy knew he should have had a service call at no charge but paid to get fix anyways ....and yes it should have been at no charge...

    THANKS to local installer

Thats right ...He was suppose to "not" charge for a service call if it was an install that was at fault 'Wind included" as install related prob. If you had roofers come out and messed with the dish while they replaced your roof and never could get signal back...then he could charge you...

    Proper grounding of pole mount?

Well said Tate ;) If you are contracted by your provider Direct ,Dish, ect.. to ground then you ground per your providers specs. regardless of local nec codes. If local nec says no ground is needed i still ground...but thats me.

    Proper grounding of pole mount?

Correct, when dealing with backbonding to ground :) Look up on what the SCTE (society of cable television engineers) broadband certification program has on proper backbonding issues. I am also SCTE certified i find that they are the most advanced on training on backbonding to ground...

    I'm a Bad, Bad Boy!!!

right now spotbeams will prevent that. I believe that radius is 300 miles. If you live with in 300 mi. of vegas, then you would pick it up. I beleve La ,NY and Denver, are the 3 non spot beam cities for Dish. There maybe 1 or two more cities......not sure.

    I'm a Bad, Bad Boy!!!

If dish loses this would hurt both dish and direct. It would be nice to pick which local networks to view. If you want to watch 10 different locals " like in a package deal " would be even cooler:cool:
