NBC Sports in the Sports Pak?

I'm a little frustrated right now, so I wanted to check in with people in the know to make sure my reading of the D website is correct. I live in zip code 52405, which means I need to have the Sports Pak to have FS-MW. This is the only channel I want out of the Sports Pak. I currently have...

DVRs that Work With Unsupported MRV

Hello, I've been doing the MRV thing for quite a while on my wired Ethernet network with no DECA. Sadly, my HR21 seems to have bit the dust and will no longer receive a signal from my SWM. I've verified that the problem is isolated to the receiver. I plan on calling DirecTV to get them...

    Slimline 5LNB Low 119 Signal

Hello, I recently bought a house, and moved the DirecTV setup I had along and did a self-install as to not extend my contract. The setup is a 5LNB Slimline with a wing dish for 72.5, connected to a SWM-8 and run into the house. Signals on all satellites except for 119 are in the mid to high...

Note from DirecTV to Customers Regarding Versus

To be frank, I'm being stubborn and shouldn't have to shell out extra for two services. The whole point I signed with DirecTV is so I could get FS-MW, ESPN, and VS all in one place for the Blues games. Now VS is gone. If I do any switching at all, it would be from DirecTV to Dish to once...

Note from DirecTV to Customers Regarding Versus

I wonder if they'd let me install a Slingbox temporarily? :D This is incredibly frustrating, though. I switched from the local cable provider to DirecTV mainly because the cable co didn't carry FS-MW, and now DirecTV has no VS. I can't win. heh That's a fantastic thought that hadn't...

How do you feel about directv's current HR series?

I have a HR21. While it could use a faster processor so it doesn't drag sometimes in the UI, it's a great box with all of the CE features enabled.

    Ordering an Additional HD Receiver

I would, but their DirecTV receiver pricing is $30 more expensive than Best Buy/direct from DirecTV. ;) I bought my SWM-8 through them. Best Buy is sounding like the best option, provided they aren't going to force an installer on me. There's one less than a mile from my place.

    Ordering an Additional HD Receiver

Hello all, My experience with DirecTV has been well enough that I'd like to add an additional HD receiver in the guest bedroom (doubles as my PC room). I'd like to order it off of the website for convenience--is there any way to know what model reciever would be shipped to me? I'd like an H21...

    Rain fade with SWM

Hello, Does SWM artificially inflate signal readings due to it being a powered system? I had my DirecTV installed at my apartment late last year, and the signal did not go out once during the winter even with the heavy snow and ice. However, storm season is starting, and the signal is lost...

    SWM On Standard Install?

The condo association does not coordinate any satellite installations, however, they are allowed. They are requesting I don't have any additional holes on the exterior wall drilled, though, so I'm just wondering if I'll have to pay DirecTV for a SWM install or if it's covered by the free...

    SWM On Standard Install?

Is SWM a part of the standard install for DirecTV? I moved into a new condo, and this place already has one wire coming into the living room from a DirecTV dish on the roof. I'm not sure what kind of dish that is on the roof, as I'm way out of date on what they all look like. I'd like to have...
