We Really Had It Great With Voom!!

Could not have said it better!!! I am just getting TV via OTA and really have not seen the reason to pay for the small hd offerrings currently available from cable or dbs providers. I will waite until someone can at least match the amount of hd that Voom provided before paying for tv again. I...

My free magazine never got it how about you

Yes If you are referring to "Soung & Vision" magazine;yes, and I received my second one yesterday (June 05). I sure miss Voom dbs and am really surprised that "Sound & Vision" is still showing up in my mailbox. Thanks C. Dolan!!

If you downgrade you will pay an additional fee. The fine print: **Price valid for first 3 months. Offer requires 1-year commitment to qualifying programming under the Digital Home Advantage program. If qualifying service is terminated or downgraded prior to end of 1-year period, a...

You can tell I am a dbs newbie, only had Voom for a couple months and was my first satellite service. Bare with me if I ask some dumb or incorrect questions.

All 10 Voom channels now on Dish Network

So this means that the 6000u is not the preffered receiver to have if you do not want to use a multiswitch?

All 10 Voom channels now on Dish Network

Can you go this route (HD only) if you are a new subscriber and buy your own 6000u. I might consider going to Dish just for the HD only channels @ $20.00 per month. I really have no desire for their SD channels.

POLL: After VOOM, who will be your provider?

OTA and dvd's for me. I will wait for more HD before I pay for TV with the amount (or lack of) HD broadcast being provided by both Sat and Cable providers. They have yet to earn my money and I refuse to give it to them until they do.

You can have the last word

I have and I agree. I subscribed to voom and commented to the FCC and joined the association. I did my part and appreciate all those who did the same. You do have to speak to be heard.

Jerome Sandler (SaveDBSCompetition) Files Reply with the FCC

I would hope that the FCC would still hold back the 61.5 frequencies for a 3rd, yet to be announced (future sat. broadcaster to enter the market) and eliminate Echostar from acquiring them for the 4 year period that they have stated in prior rulings. I do not care if there is a provider in the...

    Voom Having Problems

I doubt that the Voom employees would sabatoge a thing before now and the 30th. They have been the best. Jimmy Dolan and the Board, another question entirely.

    savedbscompetition.org website still up

I hope it's real and that they still object to the sale of TPs to Echostar. I registered as a member yesterday. I appose the sale to echostar no matter if C. Dolan does not have plans for the satellite. I still would like for the space to be left open for a future 3rd DBS provider no matter who...
