    Maybe the D* stb does not supply power to the antenna the way the Voom box did. There are threads regarding pre amps for the voom antenna. I do not know this for a fact, but I sure am interested.

    I have never been a D* or E* customer. The only loophole I can possible imagine is that Voom sold the satellite to E*, therefore they feel that Voomers are their clients. A very deferent story that what Charlie has said.

    I already get all the Toledo Locals. The antenna is pointed that way, and like you I get some others sometimes. The reason for experimenting is to see if it is worth investing in the better antenna and rotor. If VoOm goes away I would like to go strictly OTA.

    My take on this is that CVC is in the process of negotiating what it will write off before it sells to Voom LLC. GAAP has guidelines but there is some flexibility. Its no big deal.
