    Hmm...I just talked with Voom and apparantly its a software issue they are having with a minority of people. Basically when I turn the receiver off (little red satellite disappears), the receiver stays on and I can still change the channels? Strange.

    The Voom rep said Discovery HD, NFL HD and Inside Voom (Voom promotional channel) are all part of the Basic ($39.90 package). The OTA channels are free I believe with the OTA antennae on the dish (good for me, I live within a few miles of all major networks).
