    Getting sick of VOOM!!!

I had it with Voom after only 10 days. I was disappointed and my wife was getting frustrated and displayed her anger to me about the problems and wanted to switch back to Direct TV. When I did the switch back Direct TV offered a free Direct Tivo. As soon as Direct adds more HD channels I will...

    I'm out

When I had Voom I purchased an indoor amplified antenna and got all the locals. I disconnected the diplexer from the Voom receiver and directly hooked up the antenna to the back of the receiver.

The Meaning of HDTV Ain't Very Clear

I think the government is only mandating a digital transmission. No 1080i or 720P is required. If a broadcaster wants to transmit 480p they can do it.

Sorry to say but I won't be Vooming anymore! (Edit: Totally Back)

I was with Voom for about 10 days. From March 10 till about the 19th. The SD channels soft picture was very bothersome. Figured that a New DBS provider would take the hints from message boards like these that quality of picture matters even for SD channels. For the HD progaming I surely don't...

    VOOM vs. DirecTV Comparison

I cancelled Voom didn't like their Exclusives which are all suppose to be 1080i. I have Direct TV currently with no HD. Now Direct TV has the more sharp picture over the "soft type pictures that Voom has for their SD channels. I also noticed that when i was with Brighthouse that their HD...

Had Voom for 2 weeks not happy yet...

I got about a 47 signal strength. And like others when it was cloudy the signal strength would lower to 30 even to 25 and the box would lock up. I already gave up on Voom ( because of the wife complaining about it)and already switched back to Direct TV. I guess with a little patience Voom...

    Voom HD vs Dish HD

I got Voom installed on 10 March, the HD channels at times do look softer compared to Time Warner Cable's HD channels. The SD channels look soft also compared to Direct TV. If you just had you Voom installed give the Motorola Time to down load the program guide etc.

Is Voom giving their exclusives, everyone of their channels in 1080i.

I look at the Voom movie channels and they don't look great. And for some reason I do know that when I watch Rush HD or Rave HD that they have Voom commericals that adverstise about about their movie channels and even show clips of these movies in 1080i. They look good on Voom's non-movie...

    Report Card for HD channels

Was wondering why i need to adjust the output setting to 1080i to enhance the Cinema10/Monsters and Epics channels in order to have a better picture. I discovered that if I leave it in native mode where the receiver adjust automatically to the incoming signal either 1080i, 720p or 480 the...
