I agree - these should be part of the basic package. I'm still holding out hope that they will. The VOOM web site hasn't listed these channels yet - so maybe it's still possible. Closed Captions Please Voom - please add captions to the HD channels! It's the number 1 reason the partially deaf members of the house keep switching over to cable (ugh!).

Interesting. I've been looking, but have never seen a Voom dish other than my own - I'm about 10 miles north of Pittsburgh. So years from now - when Voom dominates :clap - I'll be saying I was one of the first!! (Or alternately - if this tanks, I'll be one of the last :river )

Anyone know how to get to the "hidden" system settings with the new software? I want to run a diagnostic for my modem (my caller ID isn't working) but it seems that the earlier method (the 988 code) doesn't work. Thanks! ( and Happy Thanksgiving :lick )

Got the new software overnight. No problems so far. Had to rehide some locals. The PG hasn't loaded - may need to reboot. Also, I plugged in the phone line to test the caller ID, enabled it, and called my number, but nothing displayed. Not sure if there's something else needed for caller ID...

In Pittsburgh and my NBC OTA just replays the opening ceremonies. The other three special channels - just blank. Not only is there no HD action available - but they've basically killed my NBC channel. Thanks alot, voom.
