SkyAngel Now In The Roku Channel Store

I can't imagine Neulion was the reason why they left Roku. http://www.faqs.org/sec-filings/121220/NEULION-INC_8-K/ex10_2.htm Maybe SA* had a programmer change their mind on Roku rights? or Dish found a way to kick them off?

SkyAngel Now In The Roku Channel Store

Admittedly, SA* actually set a standard with their app design and integrated program guide. It'd be nice if other live tv providers did something similar. But I also agree it seems odd that several of their channels already have free Roku apps. (Note: I don't mind the fact SA* offers those...

SkyAngel Now In The Roku Channel Store

I'm not sure why SA* is so hesitant (seemingly?) to out their full packages on Roku. I understand that Roku can easily geoblock, so there should be no issue with territories. I can't believe there are security issues, because if that was the case, E* and TWC would not use it. I think more so...

Any word on Skyangel adding more channels?

Is anyone aware of a way to get the $200 deal for 6 month sub & free receiver through another partner (instead of AFA)? I would prefer to support another one of the SA* ministries if I did take up this deal.

Any word on Skyangel adding more channels?

Thanks for posting the list. I think of these networks, Retirement Living TV, RFD TV, AFN Country, CAS, & WFN would be the best fits for *SA. I am surprised they don't carry all the shopping channels listed and more (and, even more surprised that they aren't free to all subs, or perhaps even...

Any word on Skyangel adding more channels?

Not sure I get the surveys anymore - can someone post a list of the possible channels to be added?

Our Buffer has Had about all it can take

Is it possible that your cable internet provider is overloaded themselves during busy hours? You might try DSL or another way to connect to the internet.

What would it take for SA to offer local channels?

The only way I think they could do this with minimal cost is perhaps to offer Video On Demand from the national networks plus locals. If they could argue that their set top box is merely accessing, say, Hulu, to show NBC & FOX programming (with the ads) then perhaps it would not require separate...

Just got Sky Angel! its wonderful!!

There is hope yet - most TBN low power stations have filed for Digital Flash Cut. So viewers may find that in February 2009, all the TBN digital networks will be available. (However, they are all on FTA anyway. I truly think FTA is the best "digital transition" for those folks outside of the...

Fcc Proposals Could Silence Christian Radio Stations !

I want to add that I'm not necessarily in favor of all the proposed rules, as I understand that particularly in small towns, the cost of having local programming or staffing on a 24/7 basis could be prohibitive (for a ministry OR a business). On the other hand, it seems as if many people agree...

Fcc Proposals Could Silence Christian Radio Stations !

One issue is what some perceive as unethical behavior by some of the large Christian radio networks. Some of them have plead poverty to the FCC, saying that they cannot afford to operate studios for each of their radio stations, so that they will be granted a Main Studio Waiver. When it comes...

    Review Of Sky Angel Iptv

I do think one problem with the idea of a Christian TV service offering HD is that there is precious little Christian TV made in HD. The only network I'm even aware of is TBN HD. I also know that TVU Music Television is talking about going HD soon (hopefully sooner than the Dish Network "soon")...

    service is gone :(

I can confirm that (as someone who only has (former) SA* DBS, Free PI Pack, and Penny Cinemax) I'm still getting Angel Two & KTV in their new (200 range) channel numbers. The programming on Angel Two, BTW, seems to have really gone down hill. They are now showing what appears to be a bunch of...

    Chat with DISH about SkyAngel

It's also clear that neither CSR understood or appreciated the difference between HD Essentials ($29.99) & SD Essentials ($9.99).

    What to do?

I think for now, 3ABN will remain - it is not part of Sky Angel at this point, and the "Important Information" message about going away on 3/31 is NOT on 3ABN at this time.

Fate of Sky Angel Channels on Dish Network

Looks like KTV will be part of the free "Public Interest" channel package. Not sure why Angel Two isn't, at least at this time. Perhaps because Angel Two has special events, such as concerts and conferences, that make it valuable enough to only be part of a paid package? DISH Network --...

    GTN website Schedule isn't right!

You should also remember that the .2 Network (produced by GTN) will debut this summer as a digital multicast stream on various stations across the country. So you might eventually be able to get .2 using an antenna, from a local affiliate.

    3ABN Dish set up

It's also important to note that 3ABN should be at 61.5 after SA* goes off air, because 3ABN deals directly with Dish as a Public Interest channel now. They are no longer part of any SA* offering.

    Review Of Sky Angel Iptv

Perhaps a good premium option, that would remain family friendly, would be to have the Hallmark Channel set up a VOD package of movies and specials from Hallmark and Hallmark Movies. Perhaps a limited selection would be available "free" with any package including Hallmark, but the free VOD would...

    GTN website Schedule isn't right!

My guess is certain programs are removed, because GTN either can't obtain the national rights at any cost, or not at a reasonable cost. Also, I believe that GTN used to maintain a separate website just for their SA* feed. But I can't find it anymore, so it seems to have been discontinued...

His Kids Radio offering Wi-Fi "Family Radio"

I know that many people enjoy the variety of Christian Radio available on Sky Angel, and for those who are looking for an alternative to SA-IPTV, perhaps for a second room where you don't need to have video, but would like to hear family-friendly and Christian radio stations - there is a product...

new postcar, flyer from skyangel regarding DBS

I am wondering if TVU and/or RadioU might also be added to Dish Network or DirecTV. In a recent website update at their fundraising info page UnleashtheMusic // welcome , they have indicated: My personal guess is that the "huge, new audience for TVU" will be carriage as a Public Interest...

    Sky Angel IPTV lineup

ITA - 75% of the problem here is lack of communication. Only very recently has SA* finally been up front (although still somewhat misleading) by sending the "Dominion" letter out regarding termination of lifetime / DBS service. Had SA* sent that same exact letter at least 1 year earlier, then I...

Has anyone received their box yet?

FWIW, if the included XM is important to you, and it's what you want - then that does change the terms of the deal. It's your money, and you should get what you want. Myself, I already have XM and Sirius, so whether or not they come with a TV subscription is not that important.
