    Kaultronics Solid Dish

I owned a 6' aluminum a long time ago. They were made in Richland Center, WI, about 60 miles from me. They were a good dish. Later they made KTI Brand there, also a good general service dish.

Help aiming a new C Band Dish

The dishes are probably different, the old Ku was off-set, the new C-band is direct feed. This means you elevation is going to be different. You will also need to be concerned with skew/declination. The old motor accounted for this automatically, the new mount does not, you need to set it. I...

    Need help with Captiveworks CW-800S

I know where you can get the latest factory file for the CW-800, if you'll PM me. However, I don't think you need a new file, the one you have should be perfect for true FTA. No hacking is done at this site, but that does not mean you can't use hacker files as most times they are the most up to...

Dishes we have seen -- post yours!

Here's a 3-meter Design Homes Satellite dish. I had one just like it in 1988, Spun aluminum, deep dish. Great for in-town reception.

8' channel master quad leg feed alignment help.

Here is the formula to determine the F/D. You may also be a tiny bit off south, turn your dish on your mounting pole a tiny bit east/west and check your signal strength.

How to determine if LNBF is good or bad?

To find out if you have a "live" LNB, hook it to your receiver, if you get a "signal" reading then your receiver is communicating with your LNB. If you have no signal reading at all, and you are sure your switches/wiring are OK, then chances are you have a bad LNB. To see if your LNB is...

Set up your satellite/motor to the most southern satellite from your location, make sure your motor is set at the top of the arc also.

    Viewsat Ultra factory file needed

I would not trust any other site from which to download-- just this one. Something to consider, just because you have a 3rd party file in you STB does not mean it is the source of your problem, look else where. Check your connections, switches, etc. What exactly is the problem? With more...

    Can these be received?

those are DVB-S2 channels. If your receiver can decode them you should get the channels, they are all open.

    No OTA?

Don't give up RT. I have the file you are looking for; 012909. You can Google it and download. I tried to post it in the "Firmware/File" section on this site, but could not figure out how....it just wouldn't take it. Sorry! But you'll find it in a hurry thru Google. Ask for "SV8000 software...

    No OTA?

Make sure you use the "cleaner" file several time to make sure you have gotten ALL of the third party software off your flash area. Then, Google "Sonicview files" and look to old third party files used before the dongle software. None of this software works for hacker purposes any longer, but...

    No OTA?

Some of the SV8000's software programs did not support OTA(like the original factory software). What software are you using? You may have to go to one of the last hacker software version to use your OTA. Sorry, I can't remember the name of the last good hacker software, but was issued in January...

    Finally Got The Beachcraft Flying!!

I don't really have any pictures of the axis with the 3 hole showing. I did, however, get the dish to track the arc by using the same two hole top and bottom, in this case the center hole. I measure the angle on the axis bar and the front of the dish, added them together at the 91-degree...

    Finally Got The Beachcraft Flying!!

I think you are right, I did move the bottom bolt to the last hole, and while thaqt helped, according to yhour picture, it provided too little declination, resulting in getting the top of the arc, but not either end. Weather is bad today(storms). will go out and play tomorrow. Your picture is...

    Finally Got The Beachcraft Flying!!

It took a few days to make the missing parts (Top Hinge Plate & Actuator Loop) but thanks to some picture from you guys, I did it. Got it mounted on the pole and had a heck of a time getting the declination right(or close). As far as I can tell there is no adjustment for declination, somebody...

Found new dish over the weekend

I finally got around to setting up the Beachcraft dish today, but don't know how to set the declination. I assume it is done with the top bracket that connects the dish to the mount. That was one of the missing pieces I had to make. I thought I made the bracket correctly, but now I'm not so...

Found new dish over the weekend

Discovered a 9' fiberglass dish that was 20 years old, but was never installed, and reflector is like new, as is tripod. The polar mount is rusty but can be cleaned up. Also missing parts (top mounting bracket). I'm going to have to fabricate them. Won't be too bad, already know what they look...

    Problems with SV8000HD and SG2100

Erase the motor's memory, do a factory reset on SV8000 to erase the STB's memory. Reset you East/West limits using the menu on your Sv8000, then set you southern most sat using USAL selection from same menu. The rest should be easy.

    Help setting dish elevation

If you have a magnetic protractor, hang it underneath the LNB's mounting arm. This will tell you the current elevation in degrees. If you don't have a magnetic use a standard protractor with a plum line.

SonicView 360 Elite "Please update the newest SW"

There is a specific file for your receiver; "360premier_SysCleanFile" That should do the job. Just on the off chance that the factory file you are using has somehow been corrupted, you maybe should download and extract a new copy to be sure its OK.

SonicView Showing 99% Signal All The Time

Sometimes you have to run the "Sysclean" file. If the receiver has been hacked in the distant past it may still have some fragments of hacker S/W in the flash. After the sysclean file, do a hard boot, a system reset, then put the latest factory software on from the Sonicview site.;)

SonicView Showing 99% Signal All The Time

_________________ It is not "normal" to get 99% on your signal, unless you have a real short run, I usually have a 80 - 90% on my HD8000. You will not get a "quality" reading unless you are on the sat you are shooting, others more than likely will not show quality. I assume you have factory S/W...
