    Need receiver reviews & updates

I would like to get reviews on Software now that I am getting into using my TBS6925 card. I'm currently using ProgDVB professional (professional is required to use a motor...) and it is taking time to figure out. The toughest thing was to figure out that us in the "New World" have to punch in...

    HDTV approved

Your receiver and your TV need to be HD, that's it. The labeling is designed to confuse and trick people who haven't studied before they go shopping. Cheers, Steve

    DVB-S2 Tuner Cards in Windows?

Hi again, I am pondering getting a tuner card for my HTPC and putting my MicroHD in the living room as the wife isn't fond of watching TV in the basement unless we are watching a movie. That being said, can I get the ease of use of the microHD in Windows with a Tuner card? If so, what would...

    SES 3

I have to wonder why they would wait until the dish is parked in position before applying to use it. My boss would eat me alive if I put something into orbit without permission to use it. Steve

Opinions of which motor to buy

I would recommend the STAB HH90 over the 2100 any day, I sent my friend to get a STAB HH90 like mine but the dealer sent him back with a 2100. The 2100 looks like a Russian copy of a Japanese car built from a photo taken from space... Steve

    FTA One Stop Shop

I've been in to FTA Tronix on Carling in Ottawa. I got the feeling that the products he had were from back before Bell changed their encryption but it's still a good place to start off with. I feel I did better than mail order but call ahead to see what he's got before going down. His website...

    Motorized Linear/Circular and 2 receivers, need switch(s)

Hi Anole, I have carefully looked through the FAQ and the 4-1 Switch looks like the bare minimum for me. I have a fake QPH-031 LNB and I am determined to use the Circular side just for the sake of using it for my blind scanning entertainment. The motor is a Stab HH90 and the dish is a...

    Motorized Linear/Circular and 2 receivers, need switch(s)

Hi guys, When I originally bought my setup I wound up with a Dish Network 2 port switch which doesn't appear to work with FTA (I was only getting a handful of channels...some linear and some circular). Anyway, I want to have linear/circular in the house without having to go outside and swap...

Buying a 90cm sat dish - The Odyssey

I would go door to door asking people where they got theirs from. These things usually get shipped by the pallet and distributed locally. Cheers, Steve

    FSTV @ 123w still up?

Bouncing between 0 and 10% with my microHD...I need about 30% to watch so I'm gonna get a 1.2m. I am starting to think that a number of channels are turning down their power to stop us from watching? Steve

Question about mounting a mast for a motorized dish

Have you tried pushing/tilting the dish a bit at each dish position? That will give you an idea of what is out and the STAB manuals have some good sketches on how to correct it. I've found that with my motor I can get an extra 5% from 87W when tweaking the dish but I get no real response from...

    Stand-off brackets

TRRunner, HAM is hard to track down around here, I met some club members during the summer but I don't even know where to start to find parts. I may get two of the mounts I mentioned and double them up for extra strength. Anole, good point on the pipe size, I have an HH90 at the moment and 1...

    Stand-off brackets

Hi all, Is there a good stand-off bracket that will hold a 1.2m dish, a stab hh120, and 8' of 1 1/4" galvanized water pipe? I'd probably want to stick some sort of omni-directional TV antenna on the top as well. I want to put the dish on the North gable end of my house since the house peak...
