    Mounting 2nd lnb for 103.0W ?

I had this same setup, a primestar 75e pointed at 83w for retro television, and yesterday wanted to try move it to get 103. I was amazed how quickly I picked up 103, of course I pointed my motorized dish which is right next to my primestar and used it as a guide. But trying to get cozyTV I had...

FINALLY got the RTV 3800 mux on 87W with the 6 footer

I am going to have to try this! Does this trick have anything to do with the fact the channels are S2? I just figured I had to have my 6 footer adjusted just right for S2 channels, never thought to play with frequency. Going to have to remember this trick for future reference!

Satellite AV Contest - GEOSATpro microHD - Enter to Win - Drawing on 6/11/2012

Family vacation at the lake in the pop up camper. I learned to water ski behind the fishing boat with a 25 hp motor (no way would that pull me up now)! Fishing off the dock for anything that would bite on a piece of corn. Ahh, those were the days!

Did I brick my S9 ? Please help

Hmm, this is exactly what I planned on doing!!! Seeing what happened to you I am now afraid to load a channel list from an older firmware version. I hope you are able to get it going. I was afraid I had bricked mine when I accidentally loaded my renamed channel list (when I had the editor...

3-5 percent gain on WSI 6 Footer Mod

I was hopeful this would help me with my bargain 6 footer and those pesky s2 signals. But alas, I gave a cut up pie tin a try, and it did nothing for me (if anything actually made my signal less). So it would seem it has something to do with alignment of the LNB with the dish. Was worth a...

latest Openbox S9 firmware might be a keeper!

I wonder what the 8-15 version has that the 7-31 version does not? I still haven't gotten the 7-31 version loaded. Anyone compare the 2?

latest Openbox S9 firmware might be a keeper!

I am ready to try out this infamous 7-31 version, but am curious which one is the right one. From the website referenced in the first post, I see 2 which sound like they may be the one spoken of: SkyBox_S9_110731 S9S10_AmerciaVer.rar Which one is it? I want to make sure I grab the right one.

latest Openbox S9 firmware might be a keeper!

Any idea if this firmware version has the green tint fix also? That version is what slowed down the scan, so I am hopeful this version has both the faster scan and the green tint fix.

New Shows coming to RTV.....But When?

Rochester has not exactly been very fast in getting any of the good subchannels either. I sure wish I could get channel 45! Wikipedia had shown Fox-47 was supposed to be adding RTN for a few years, but it never happened. Finally next week though they are adding ME-TV as a subchannel (47-2)...

Woohoo! I woke up early today, and decided to try loading the firmware to fix the green tint issue. I found the firmware in the downloads section (rather than downloading it from the other place I had found it). Loaded it up, and here is where it gets even better! I figured out what I...

Problem with S9 Firmware upgrade - need help

Whew, finally had the time to try the rescue mission, went very well, when I saw 0001 on the panel, I knew that was a good sign! Thanks everyone! I may try the update for the green tint through the serial port also, and maybe download it anew in case it was corrupted during download. At least...

Problem with S9 Firmware upgrade - need help

Thanks for the response! In my thinking about it through a restless night of sleep, I thought the serial cable update may be my only hope. You have validated that thought! Hoping I can find that serial cable and put back my original firmware via this tool. Thanks again! Will post back...

I had read about a new firmware upgrade which fixes the green tint issue for the s9 here: http://www.satelliteguys.us/248448-using-openbox-s9-recording-help-2.html I thought I would give it a try. Now my S9 does not seem to want to power on. The front control panel just has the...

    Yet another Openbox question...

Another option would be to get an "RGB SCART to composite RCA adapter". They can be found on ebay for under $2. There are 2 SCART connections on the S9, and I am thinking both could be used. I haven't had time to get mine all set up yet, but plan to try this out. I did verify it works, but I...
