I have Fortec Star Lifetime Ultra and a Primestar dish. I'm mainly interested in finding college football and hockey. My questions are: Doing a "power scan" with this receiver finds transponders first, then scans channels right? It takes so long to doing this to find the transponders...

I have 200 ft between my dish and receiver. Quality is over 70% on nearly all satellites, and 90% or greater on my true south and the sats surrounding it.

Right, but if I store its position in 1.2 mode, does the motor still move automatically when I switch to G10 from say......IA8?

If i change G10 from USALS to 1.2, does the motor still automatically take it to that position?

There are a few channels on G10, a cbs, abc, and nbc, that I can't really pickup. The quality meter is constantly spiking about every second, going from 80% to 0, and back and forth. Are these just weak transponders, or do I have pointing problem. I have over 90% quality on my true south...
