Is it an HD feed now? I know Lyngsat says it's DVB-S2 in MPEG4 on a different transponder now. No information on Deutsche Welle's website as it seems like it's "protected" information due to their silly agreements with Dish. I hope they never encrypt it.

Snow changes the focal point of the reflector, so the strongest signal won't be reflected into the feedhorn. Weight of the snow will also cause issues.

That explains it quite a bit. I think they moved to DVB a little bit before they had a nationwide HD feed, which I think had a virtual channel of 80 or something. Very true.

Neither in northeast US. If they still have SW, I don't understand why they don't have an online stream too. I had a direct URL to their mp3 stream, it went dead, just like their satellite service.
