I left the dish parked on 87w for the last few days just to monitor any changes and the changes were few since the signal ranged between 77-80. 77TA and BPAlone both suggest that the output signal is stronger. I'll have to agree. Dee_Ann's comments about the ground drying out and the dish...

It is raining hard now. My 9ft dish is pointed at 87W and the signal Q from RTV is 75+. On sunny days the signal from RTV is usually so low as to be unwatchable while other transponders are watchable. What is a good explanation for this? Thanks...

A storm moved through last night. I unplugged when I heard it, but may have been too late. Lightning strikes were close based on seconds between flash and thunder. The house shook for at least 6 or 7 seconds. This morning, the MicroHD would not boot and the green light just blinked about once...

In summer, I'd set up a tent and move outdoors. Twilight lasted past 10pm in June, so I'd sneak away and wander the streets with my friends. Streets were gravel at the time and very few cars were out in such a small town.

There are a lot of voices out there on tv and radio. Plenty enough of propaganda and dogma for anyone and everyone. No need to single out Iranian broadcasts.

If it just shows a talking head or selling something, I'll ignore it. But some channels show clips with interesting backdrops of what life must be like in that locale. I don't need to understand the language to understand that conditions are a hardship or luxurious or in between.

I finally locked RTV @11741 on the Micro HD. It did not blind scan in...maybe cuz 11735 was already in the TP list and the numbers are too close. Was sure perplexed for awhile as to why I could lock 72W and 87W but not 83W, so glad to see this post.
