    SES-1 channels gone?

I don't see those channels on SES 1. I had them on SES-22 @ 135W but now I checked and they are not coming in. I should also mention that most of the channels on 4020 never came in for me although listed as FTA HD

Up until just recently I've only had 32 bit windows programs XP and Vista. from there I was able to run all the receiver files and loader programs that I have used over the yrs. Now that I'm running windows 7 and 64bit software version on a new computer I'm thinking that it will be...

    downloaded FW question

I found "Coolsat 8000 loader" file. should be a loader file version 3.01 Other than checking that, no I did not check anything else. Unless a different loader was erroneously posted as the v3.01, this should have been it, don't think there would of been a reason to look for anything else.

    non factory file for Coolsat

Exactly. The SV works same way. It should be mandatory or standard fare.

    non factory file for Coolsat

You make some good points noting all of those features so I'll bump it up to a B-. The channel numbering prevents this receiver from being more fluid and seemless. Also, the processer speed is slow compared to a SV8K.

    non factory file for Coolsat

It would appear that way. IMO this box rates a C- borderline D. I am shocked at how it gets rave reviews, makes me wonder if I'm missing something. I would not recommend this receiver for everyday use.

    non factory file for Coolsat

for me thats a pretty big negative and a dealbuster. I may keep it on hand just for s2, maybe we'll see. Right now it's back to the SV8K for regular every day use. I guess I just expect too much from these boxes that apparently are designed for pirates and are not what they really appear to be.

    non factory file for Coolsat

yes, it sorts that way normally. I tried the other options as well, still leaves the sid in front of channel name. The problem with this is you wind up with the same channel number for multiple channels on the same sat. I just scanned Cband SATMEX 5 and I have 7 or 8 channels labeled 0001. I...

    non factory file for Coolsat

all I want is better channel sorting ie.. sorting without the sid channel number attached. thought a 3rd party file might have addressed that since the factory files do not. I also have a coolsat 4K which had alot more features on the firmware and allowed you to remove those sid channel...

    coolsat 8100 file extension

is there any difference in these different FW that we are talking about in ref. to channel sorting? I was not at all happy with the way this CS was working b4 it locked up on me. I was particularly bothered at the way it does the channel sorting. In my SV8000, when I scan in new channels, it...

    coolsat 8100 file extension

I have several different cables, not sure exactly if this is null modem but I thought it was. I have a different one I can try. I would need a diagram to locate the pin numbers and check it out that way, also, don't think my meter leads will fit into the small holes on the ends of the cable.

    coolsat 8100 file extension

I'm hoping that will be the case but so far just minor progress. I can now open the loader and load the clean.bin file and that is it. When I hit start on the loader nothing happens. I have tried starting the program with the unit off at the back and then starting it with the rocker switch...
