    Future of XM channels

I am a Ham Radio guy and this week I had an interesting conversation with a former XM Employee on the Han Radio airwaves. He will remain nameless to protect his identity even though the information he gave me was of his own opinion and not any true intel to what is happening at Sirius XM...

    When was Sirius/XM Better?!

Wow... its been a long time since I have been on these threads. Now that HD is prevelent and there is a plethora of HD on Directv, I just don't hang around these forums much. I thought I would check into see if there was any inside scoop on Sirus/XM or Directv that would be worth knowing, then...

    Sirius XM online expands?

I have been a XM subscriber for 5 years now. I have loved the programming and this is what basically keeps me there. My wife and I enjoy the 40's, 50's, Real Jazz, Classical, and Old Time Radio channels. (I know... we're old fashioned). :) We simply do not get any of these types of channels...

Sirius Xm to raise rates another $2

I just got my email notice about the Royalty fees. It will total just undre $4 a month for me. (3 radios). I am upset enough already that I was promised no prices will change when the merget happned. Well... they raised the prices on a few things that effected me enought that I am now paying...

    SiriusXM stock, The comeback kid?

But I did't! :) I bought it at $0.29 a share yesterday! :up I figure I will sell when it hits $3.00 a share in a couple years. (I hope it hits that anyway). :)

Sirius XM is pissing me off AGAIN

I tried to "activate" my internet radio account today after realizing the reason it has not been working this week is due to the new "fees". (I forgot that they were doing this so it took me a couple days to put 2 + 2 together). So I went on line to active at $2.99, but it tells me that my...

    Sirius raising prices!

I saw this coming a mile away like so many others. During the heated debates on the merger, I was all against it because the two companies were marketing Satellite radio completely wrong. The biggest thing about satellite radio is not that people want to see that Kid Rock, Jessica Simpson, or...

    New XM Lineup

So far so good with the Classical channels this morning. Unlike what i posted earlier.

    New XM Lineup

This is going to make me sound gay, but I don't care. I am disappointed with the changes to the classical lineup. I always listened to either XM Pops, or XM Classics for a couple of hours in the morning at work. They both played traditional classical Music such as Bach, Vivaldi, Mozart...

Will Satellite Radio be around in 5 yrs?

I thought he fell short of expectations. He got his minimum bonus, but if he didn't he would have walked and that would have been bad news for sirius. As soon as he got his bonus he unloaded most of his stock sirisu gave him at the beginning.

    XM/Sirius Merger

The government is still working it out. It is taking longer than anticipated for them to decide... (surprise, spurpise),. Its hard to say either way. Because they are taking longer it could be a good sign that they will allow it, or it could just be a difficult decision because...

Will Satellite Radio be around in 5 yrs?

I have three XM radios that I pay $80 every three months for. I love XM, and I do see satellite radio being around for the next 5 years and much longer. whether or not the merger happens, I don't think will hurt either company either way. If it does happen it will be good. I think they will...

FCC Invites public comments on the XM/Sirius Merger...

I commented against it. I know the two companies want to tell us that they compete with terrestrial radio or portable digital content, but I do not agree with that. The two companies offer commercial free music, special event channels, special event broadcasts, and content a lot of us can...

    XM Channel Lineup changes

Is this to build up hype for their tour? I would welcome it as a full time channel! I posted earlier that the XM pops channel 113 was not on the air anymore, possibly because of making room for the Christmas music channels. I figured out that 113 is not available online only, and channel...

    XM Channel Lineup changes

I have noticed that they removed XM Pops, which was their HD classical channel. I listened to it mostly in the mornings. I do like the XM Classics too, so I am not starved for Classical music. I am assuming that the XM pops will return when the Christmas music stations are done for the...

    "IT" started today on XM4

I love the music of the 40's! The main reason I got XM was for the 40's channel!

Made the move from XM to Sirius

I think that both have their advantages over the other. XM seems to carry a better line up of Talk and newshows for the daytime, better Jazz and decade music. Sirius seems to have a better selection of today's mainstream music.

XM vs. Sirius Round 7 News

MSNBC has the lowest ratings on television and radio in the news world. If it does become a deciding factor for anyone, it will be a very few.

I Am Getting my SkyFi2 Rebate After all

I had the same thing about a year ago with an XM rebate that gave you a free Roady. Mine got mixed up with my Fathers, who is from the same Zip code, so since we had the same last names, and Zip code, it threw them for a loop. My father got his, and I had to call after a few months to get...

XM vs. Sirius Round One Jazz

XM all around, (I believe), has more/better music that is not main stream. Genre's like Jazz, Blues, Bluegrass, Lounge... and there seems to be more variety of those genre's. Sirius seems have more/market what is more mainstream and popular today.

Statement to XM Subscribers - The XM Nation

Just another reason I can't stand today's music or music industry. Think about this. If the musicians really cared about this issue, they would side with the consumers, but they are not. Therefore, it would be safe to assume that all musicians with these big record labels are against these...

XM Satellite Radio Reports Wider Loss, But Ups Revenue, Subscriber Base

If the subscriber base grew 72%... that means in 8 months, (or two quarters), they will see the turn around on the loss the have now. And in one year will have big earnings. That is assuming that of those new subscribers, 75% stick it out that long. As the saying goes... sometimes you have...
