They're called Scotchloks and they're made by 3M. Slip in your wires and crimp with pliers or channel locks and you have a weatherproof splice. Don't know about them being buried directly.

I think they are asking what receivers are available that can be used to view/lock a 16apsk or 32apsk signal. I don't currently know of any consumer set top boxes that will receive 16apsk or 32apsk. There are DVB cards for PCs that will but I don't know what ones will, off hand.

I have only one issue with my Elite and my G-Box. When I have a diseqc 1.0, 1.1, or 22khz switch installed between my Elite, G-Box and my DG380, about two out of every five gbox moves will send my bud off to it's limits, where it stops and goes to the requested sat. This never happens...

Just so you know, I've had all these problems from time to time. And they always seem to come and go with no rhyme or reason to them. It's happened maybe a handful of times. A couple of times just turning the receiver off for a minute or two fixed it.

You were clear. You can NFS mount an exported fs from your linux box.

I've had the same problem (except it was a different sat.) I haven't ever figured out the rhyme or reason to it. When it's happened I just fix it and save the settings again and I'm off and running again.

I've had my Azbox playing movies one after the other. Haven't had any problem since that reboot 10 minutes after originally posting.

That said, it just rebooted itself. :o I don't think the power supply in the Azbox is quite big enough for a peltier plate.

I ended up having to do the same thing. One of the updates you did that corrupted your satellite list corrupted mine as well. 4348 works fine for me. Everything since nukes the sat list for me.

The only thing you could hope for is to beg the company to add that as a feature. I've not known any receiver to do that except for DirecTV/Dish/Bell receivers.
