Hi, thanks! I had Evu in the past and I could get 82 and nimiq1, not 3 (or was it the other way around?). I didn't care much because all the HD content was on 82. but I think there some post that they may have moved HD from 82?

Hi, sorry if has been asked. I did a search and couldn't find anything. Now that I have disconected Dishnet I still have a Dish1000 up on my roof. If I repoint it to 82 and 91 will it be ok to use with Bell's 9200? I know that I could use a dish 500 in the past, but I'm not sure about the...

they're the ones. but it's so darn expensive! Why not just buy the 9200 from EVu? I think right now current Bell customers can buy it for like CN$600. Or you can lease it for $25.00/month even if you're are a "south of the border" canadian like I was:D . check kusat.com site.

If it wasn't for the 2 year commitment I'd go for it. but, I did the math: $25x24 =600. so after 2 years I'd have payed $600 and NOT owe the equipment. I think I'd rather wait for DirectTv bringing the rest of my HD locals!:)

Has anybody here in the US rented the 9200 from Evu? I'm considering that option but the 24 month commitement doesn't sound like a good idea...

Wow, that's then a good price for the receiver (considering how much dish charges for it). I've contacted both Kusat and my broker but no answer from them yet.

Just wondering if any of us "south of the border" Evu customers got the new HD DVR. Is it the same model as dish 942 or 921? if so, where did you get it from? I got my 6100 from kusat this year. Did you have to reinstall everything including the dish or were you able to use the one for the 6100...

I pay using an American credit card with no problem. I do go through a broker though but still, the charge is done directly by Evu.

Oh that's right, because I think that, in the end, the equipment is not even set up in my name but my broker's?

:D Hmmm, I'm not sure about selling my Evu with contract to somebody else. Right now it is set up with my credit card account (I wonder if my broker could change that to the buyers CC??). I'm also in a year commitment And if I cancel now there's a CN$150 fee (though if I keep it for the remaning...

Update: Kusat finally replied to my message. They said they should have the DVR in 2-3 weeks and it should cost around $600-700. They didn't specify if Canadian or american dolar.

Makes me now regret that I got Evu!!! I signed a year commitment. :(

Does anybody know if Kusat or any other Canadian providers will be selling the Star Choice HD PVR to South of border customers? I've tried tried contacting them but with no luck so far. Thanks!

I just watched "Johny Zero" on the fox channel East simsub by Global and to be honest, I didn't seem any decrease in HD quality. Francisco

Hey Iceberg, when you say "won't work" you mean, they won't activate it for you? I played around with my 510 currently active with dish this weekend. I unplugged it, ran a check switch, then plugged the cable coming from the Evu dish. I got reception, it showed the channels and everything...

Installation problem solved. I had the wrong skew value. I went to kusat.com and got the write value. After did the check switch if found both sats and now I get everything (well, except what's supposed to be on Nim3)! :D

Howdy, been with EVu since for a couple of weeks and I use it only for the US HD networks (I moved to a place where I can't get my digital locals anymore). I'm using a DVI cable to connect it to the TV and the pic quality is great. No difference whatsoever when compared to Dish's HD channels...
