Hi, I finally installed my 75E dish with the DSR-505 receiver. At first I struggle to get a signal (nothing for 1H30) so I decided to get a signal finder/meter at a local store and then at my surprise within 5 minutes I found the satellite with a signal of 45 (3.8db) ten minutes later 92...

I can't confirm anything since I did not activate my account as of today but I asked my broker and he said: "no ppv but yes for the $50 programming credit on 1st bill" (I got the DSR505) So I assume one should be able to get the $250 for the DSR530 or I will have a not so good surprise in a month

I just received my dsr-505 with 75E. After browsing on some canadian forums, I have seen a lot ppl complaining about quality of HD contents and this start to scare me... Anybody here can comment on that? compared to dish or directv? (I have dish btw). The main reason I m seeking a subscription...

Correct, I would never plug the receiver but I was wondering if I could cash in on the $50 worth of ppv that new subscribers are entitled for (using their 1-800 number).

hi everyone SC offers 8 or 10 ppv for new subscribers. Will I be able to take advantage of them if I do not (or can't) plug the receivers to the phone line. I know they have a 800 number we can call from the US but can you call and get these free ppv through the 800 number? thank you
