I wonder if Shaw has made some kind of changes recently? Family in Palm Desert area is still getting the signal in/out on certain HD channels due to the low noise db number.

If you have SD only receiver and you subscribe to east and west, you can choose Buffalo or Detroit east and Spokane or seattle west. Not both. If you have HD, choose buffalo and spokane SD, because HD is detroit and seattle.

You can just have one dish. The current starchoice dish (available in 2 sizes) receives programming from two closely spaced together satellites.

Good question. ha-ha. Yeah, I just spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on a dish and the DSR530. I'm going to hope for the best. I know it won't work as well as the Bell HD DVRs, but if it can get the job done more or less, I'll be happy.

One thing to note is that for many of us (depending on location) there isn't much left at 91 degrees either. That has been messed up a long time too.

Plus, even Canadians who simply take BEV to the south part of the year, will probably want to change to starchoice or something, or put their account on hold, when not home. I agree, BEV will be losing money.

Kohl's number doesn't list for the combined satellite though. They only list the two separately. No way to use them then on the combined dish is there?

Indeed it would be stupid. Also, I'm surprised BEV wouldn't have it cover the U.S., so they could sell space on it occasionally when someone needs to send something via sat, why limit yourself to a smaller market?
