Actually, I had never tried editing the channels. I was just happy that I got it to upload a sat list that was ordered properly and to fix a corrupt satellite list that the receiver came with, which wasn't easy. But I just tried the channel editing thing, and yes, I got the same error...

Thanks again. THat seems to have worked, ie the reboot. When I first tuned in the 4.2.2 channel though, it had really weird sounding audio, but I changed channels, and back into it, and it was OK. Also, the reloading the firmware went differently this time. I never lost video at any time...

I also just received an ebay Azbox. Also no manual. Also the unusual power plug. However I had a power plug that fit it, so I used that. Connected it via HDMI, and turned it on. On the Azbox, it said loading, then eventually "settings" or something like that. However nothing on the TV...

I would still like to know where you find the firmware for the Azbox. The Azbox web page download section doesn't work, and when I googled, I get only european sites that seem to have non factory firmware.
