Can you tell us what is wrong with the HD-DVR box? I'm leaning towards Comcast after Voom shuts down, but I'd like to hear the +'s and -'s about Comcast.

I have a Panasonic E85 and use S-Video and 480i. I also DON'T use the high speed dubbing, and it seems to record properly in 16:9 at near hi-def quality.

The Genesis show was recorded in '87, but the Phil Collins concert is fairly new so it should look decent. So, hopefully they are still tweaking Rave as that has normally looked good in the past.

I'm in GA and am looking at my bill right now. It is a little confusing. On my online bill, I see: FRANCH FEE EQUIP/SMT/REM $0.95 but on the paper copy it shows the $0.95 as Sales tax. But, that fee was $3.94 until October, so it did go down a little bit.

My problem is a) I was told my new rate for VaVaVoom would be $79.95 b) "everyone is paying new rates" - not true.

Bump..... I'm still curious if anyone has been successful in lowering their rates back to the original plan. The CSR obviously lied to me when he said that everyone is on the new rates.

Looks like I am the only one so far that has the new rates, even though the CSR told me everyone's rates had been changed. I wonder if I call and say "Give me the old rates or I'm cancelling" if they will say "see ya" or "ok, we will put you back". :confused:

Did they change your price on VaVaVoom and Playboy?

Did you make any changes to make your bill go down after the jump in rates? Also, I am curious if anyone else has had their rate go up without making any changes to their account?

You may have read my posts about where I upgraded to VaVaVoom and thought I was getting the old rate, but after the CSR's screwed around with my account I ended up on the new rates. Anyway..., I am curious what others are paying since the CSR claimed that everyone is on the new rate. Here is...

I hope you have better luck than me at keeping it at that rate. I did call the other day to see if I could get mine lowered again, but they wouldn't do anything. They claimed that they had been going through all the accounts and raising rates for everyone. I would check your bill online...

Now I am sorry I messed with my programming. Not only does it look like they later went in and upped the rate to the $89.90, but they also changed my Playboy from 14.90 to 19.90. But, none of that happened until I worked with a CSR because I still wasn't getting some of the HBO channels...

I was told it was going to be the $89.90. I started to say "nevermind", but figured that it may only cost me couple of dollars extra if they fold in a week or two. So, after I gave her the go ahead, she asked to put me on hold and came back and said it would be $79.90. I don't think she did...
