I have VAVA Voom Since march 2004 Plus Playboy Two boxes and I pay 120.46
and before the Jump in rates I only payed 129.19

Did you make any changes to make your bill go down after the jump in rates?

Also, I am curious if anyone else has had their rate go up without making any changes to their account?

I Gooofed

Did they change your price on VaVaVoom and Playboy?

I must be a real tightwad :) Let's see who has the lowest bill.

FRANCH FEE EQUIP/SMT/REM $2.96
Cable Favorite $0.00
GRDVOOM $0.00
Marquee HD $0.00
VOOM IRD Rental $9.50
SPORTS $0.00
VOOM $39.90
Total $52.36

Looks like I am the only one so far that has the new rates, even though the CSR told me everyone's rates had been changed.

I wonder if I call and say "Give me the old rates or I'm cancelling" if they will say "see ya" or "ok, we will put you back".

Bump.....

I'm still curious if anyone has been successful in lowering their rates back to the original plan. The CSR obviously lied to me when he said that everyone is on the new rates.

As before, I am paying $39.90 a month + tax (VOOM+HBO)
I've never changed my plan to preserve the original rate and the Charter Member status. I own the equipment.
It's been posted on this forum many times that if you change your plan, you may not be eligible for the old rate. My cel.phone company does the same thing...

FRANCH FEE EQUIP/SMT/REM $0.77
02/03 - 03/02/05 Cable Favorite $0.00
02/03 - 03/02/05 GRDVOOM $0.00

02/03 - 03/02/05 VOOM IRD Rental $9.50
02/03 - 03/02/05 SPORTS $0.00
02/03 - 03/02/05 VOOM $39.90
Total New Charges (including estimated taxes) $50.17

Got you beat Bryan

My problem is

a) I was told my new rate for VaVaVoom would be $79.95
b) "everyone is paying new rates" - not true.

I ordered last night and the CSR said at least 6 times that any change to the programming will be at the current rate.

Basicly, make a change, you'll get the new rate.
