Your current Tivo shall not be able to record the programs in HD, if thats what your intention was, in getting the HD receiver. It can only record SD signals. Therefore IF you want to record the HD shows in HD on your Tivo/DVR, I believe HD Tivo is the way to go.

Nope. RP LCDs do not suffer from burn-ins. Nor do DLPs.

This is a tough Q. Plasma vs LCD is one decision. Which LCD- RP or DLP is another decision. I did all that and ended up following in love with 60'' Sony XBR about 2 months back. I still love it as much.
