If you watch alot of movies like I do, I'd say go with dlp. Ever since I bought mine I cannot say enough about how well it works for blu-rays and hd-dvd's. Also is very good for sports programming, not nearly the amount of motion blur as an lcd or plasma.

Well, the samsung guy came out yesterday and wouldnt you know it, the past 2 weeks i have not heard the popping sound. The tech said it sounded to him like it may be the satellite signal. But i doubt it since i turn the tv set on before the dish box. Oh well, hopefully it doesnt do it any more.

Just now set up an appointment to have service tech come out.

You shouldnt have too much problem getting the screen out and cleaned. Im still waiting for my girlfriends son to do something to my 46 inch dlp. He likes getting close when playing the wii. Hopefully i dont end up having a bigger problem than just some windex on the screen. Im probably jinxing...

For those of you that have a dlp tv, how long has your lamp lasted without changing? We tend to leave ours on most days 10 hours or more.

I havent had that problem, but the girlfriends boy has a cars television in his room too. His granda got it for his birthday and not even a month the dvd player in it broke. We ended up getting him a cheap upconvert player from meijer's for 10 bucks.
