That is quite possible, I had this same issue with a Vizio TV and an upconverting DVD Player at the time. Costco sent someone out to swap the motherboard in the TV and all was right with the world afterwards. I would try the console on another TV set to eliminate if the TV is the issue or not.

I believe this is the plan. I heard there is some exclusivity clause that MS has with Netflix which requires that competitors are not allowed to have a firmware based application. I believe that expires in 2010 and the plan is that as soon as that expires, PS3 will have a firmware based application.

Just got my disc today and am watching as we speak. This is really pretty darn cool. Especially the fact there are like 100 kids movies that you can stream, so I can get rid of all the tapes and DVDs so the kids can watch Barney. Setup was easy. I am actually very pleasantly surprised.
