    Denver OTA

I'm moving to the Denver area in the spring and have read in other posts in the past that the OTA was almost nonexsitant, but also something about the towers being moved or some such. I'm looking at the Boomfield, Westminster and Thornton areas, and maybe near Pena Blvd and 70. Whats the Sitrep...

    Winegard SS-3000 Sharp Shooter 3000

I agree with Charper. Start small and cheap and work your way up, you can always return what don't work. I have a SS-3000 and a Silver Sensor and both work just as well as my SS-2000 except I don't have to adjust the SS-2000 cause its outside on my deck railing (3rd fl apt) and I have good LOS...

    What Antenna would I need

Remember guys, Antennaweb is very conservative! Antenna selection is hit or miss in some cases. Save your reciepts! Its basicly a process of elemination in some areas. The info you get from this form will in most cases get you in the right "direction"--Ray

    Silver Sensor amp?

Elsteveo, first of all, did you ever get a good signal or no signal from the start?? Where is the Silver Sensor located? If your system is in a basement, an indoor antenna is not gonna work. The next thing is, do you know if the local stations are even broadcasting at full power?? Call and find...

Does having aluminum siding inhibit OTA HD?

I was not trying to teach Civics here. The regs are not that simple. You must read very carefully. The way they are worded leave alot of room for interpetation, and IMHO there are alot of "grey areas". This issue has been touched on many times in different threads in this forum and I think the...

Does having aluminum siding inhibit OTA HD?

These are not Laws they are rules, and the landlord can deny the mounting of antennas and dishes on some areas of the property.--Ray

Can you suggest a good indoor Antenna?

I always suggest trying the Zenith first and then go from there. I was very surprised at its performance but I'm only 18mi from the towers. Another choice is the new Winegard Sharpshooter indoor antenna which just became available. Although at $100 from Summit Source it might be a little too...

    squareshooter

The Squareshooter was designed to actually be used in an urban setting ie; townhouse, apts and is very good at picking up sigs bouncing of other structures. Wingard will soon have available the "Sharpshooter" their new indoor unit.

    Which Antenna (Airport Area)

I'm in the same situation near BWI. If I were you I'd start out with a Zenith Silver Sensor (indoor) and see how it does first. Its at the low end $$ wise, but I'm 1/2 way between Balt. and DC and the towers are 18mi max. It gets me sig strenth in the high 80's. Its very directional, but the DC...

    squareshooter

I use a squareshooter 2 (amped) and a zenith silver sensor indoor antenna and both work very well. I'm about the same distance from both Balt. and DC towers, approx 15-18 miles and get sigs in the high 80's.

I am 50-70 miles from the nearest ota antenna what is a good antenna to install?

Riffjim, are you combining the 2 antennas into 1 reciever? And if so, how? I live 1/2 way btween Balt. and DC and have been trying to figure out how to get both DMA's into my H10-250. Tks in advance.

Direct TV HD TIVO & OTA Antenna

Bought a Zenith Silver Sensor indoor last week to compliment my Winegard Squareshooer 2 outdoor and being 1/2 between Balt and DC the Zenith almost out performs the Winegard. To many obstructions for the winegard to pick up Balt but the Zenith picks up both Balt and DC just fine. Waiting on an...

    2 OTA antenna connection

I live in a 3rd floor apt that faces south. I'm 1/2 way between Baltimore and DC. Can't position my squareshooter2 to recieve any Balt sigs with any steady PQ. Thought something like a Zenith silver Sensor might help in that regard. Comments? Tks for the replys.

    Antenna Installer Falls Church, VA?

I know I'm late on getting this thread but the D* HD Tivo unit has a internal splitter so you don't need 2 lines going to it from the OTA antenna. I live in Laurel MD and have a SquareShooter 2 which works great.

    OTA Antenna in a townhouse...

I live 1/2 way between Baltimore and DC and have a D* HD Tivo and a SquareShooter2 (Amped.) Towers are 15 to 18.5 miles either way. When its pointed toward DC I still get some Balt. stations and visa versa. Sigs are strong, in the 85-90 range. I'm on the third floor and its mounted right now on...
