    If you keep a basic tv package (without a converter), yes. If you downgrade to a online service only, no. They will trap out the video portion.

    He was refering to the Network DVR. Cablevision lost the first case in court, then won on an appeal. Now it's back in the courts. Can't blame Cablevision on this one.

    If you have a DVD player with HDMI out and don't get a picture, it's a set problem. Use component cables instead.

    It's either the cable box or your receiver. Im going to bet it's the box. Swap the box out. Does it happen when your playing a DVD? If not it's the box, if it is it's the receiver.

    Yes, Hold down the cable power button and select button together, wait until the cable button lights up. Then press the volume up button then cable button again. This should let you use the volume off the cable box and not the tv.
