    After the bad weather

The dish is actually still good considering it blew 40 here at times. With work I have not had a chance to get a new servo but I think that will solve the problem. Thanks again for the advice. Marty

    After the bad weather

The only reason I questioned the 922 was I was wondering if it was sending pulses to the servo causing it to act like it is. As I said every 8-10 seconds it sounds like it is starting to change polarity then locks back where it was. I guess I'll pick up a servo and start there. Thanks for the...

    After the bad weather

A week or so ago we had a solid week of rain and hard winds here in south Florida. My 6' Fortec started acting up. It became a little blocky on all the channels. I checked signal quality and it is still pretty close to where it was before. Went to the dish and noticed every few seconds I would...

    DSR922

Thanks for all the suggestions. I went back last night and hooked it back up (the same way I did initially) and it worked! Don't know what I did but it's rolling along.

    DSR922

Thanks guys, will give it a shot after deer hunting this weekend. I know the cable is good as I'm running a ota antenna on it now. Marty

    DSR922

Is there any way to run a second tv off a 922. Tried to use the coax out to tv and got nothing. I think that is just a loop out. The second tv is on the opposite side of the house and thought rg6 would be the most economical way to power it. Is there something in the menu I need to activate to...

    TV Land Down

I called them yesterday to make a change to my sub and they said they have been swamped with calls regarding this. His comment was we have called the engineers in and they are working on it so don't feel bad Pro you are not alone.

    GI DSR-922 w/ BSC621

I don't believe the small holes will be a problem, I think the rule of thumb is if a #2 pencil can't fit through it it should not affect it. The BSC621 is not the issue, it just doesn't have the ratings a feedhorn with a good LNB does. The six foot is lust big enough for c band so you have to...

    GI DSR-922 w/ BSC621

The LNB connection is for the jumper for the ku side, RCV is for the receiver. With the 922 connect it directly to the rcv side for c band. I wouldn't put too much time into the BSC, tried it with my 6' fortec and was disappointed not that it is a bad unit but it doesn't have enough for the...

    Problem....Need some help

I would then think it is either a cable or connection problem. I have not heard of this with the receiver itself and since you changed the lnb it has to be something in between.

    Problem....Need some help

What are you showing for signal quality? Could it be moisture in the connections that is drying out in the first couple of hours in the morning when the sun gets on it?

Pole Size requirement and Equipment Weight for 6' Dish

If you are referring to the Fortec 180 cm dish the id of the mount is roughly 3 1/4" for the polar mount. I bought 3" schedule 40 pipe and had to step it down to make it work. Taking a guess the package probably weighs 60-70 lbs.

    Geosat CK-1

What is the f/d for your dish? Looks like the lnbf is sticking quite a ways out of the scalar unless it is just the picture.

Program Guide for 922, Tree in the way

The guide is only available on G1 channel 3 or I am also told 165 which is a little stronger but have not tried it.

    Can I use a CorotorPak on a Fortec FS6D w/ Polar Mount?

I think the corotor you have should work fine. The 6' Fortec only has basic assembly instructions with it. The actuator you have should work fine but for only a few bucks more you can buy the complete set up from Sadoun including the dish, actuator, Vbox positioner and CK1 LNBF. The only issue...

    Looking for a 4DTV Reciver - CHEAP

The 6' is better than I would have thought. There nothing I know of that I can't get now that I switched to a feedhorn and a decent lnb instead of the BSC621, picked up between 6- 10 points. Even the HBO's on G15 are at around 47-48 quality (I don't have them subbed so don't know if I would get...

    4DTV Guide

It's there and the dc light is on. I called NPS and they told me to try to leave it on G1 3 and shut the unit off tonight or unplug and let it sit for an hour to force the download. Will give it a shot and see what happens. Thanks for the help!

    4DTV Guide

Yes I am subbed. It just quit the other day. I try to either shut the unit down or run it over to G1 3 every night (somethimes I forget after too many cocktails).

    4DTV Guide

Any thoughts on why my guide on the DSR 922 quit? It was working fine and now nothing. I left it on G1 3 all night last night and am still getting the guide with no info in all the slots.

    curing mast flex

Plus if you are thinking about concrete I would definitely put a couple of sticks of rebar inside the concrete to give it added strength.

Just a little laugh for today

As everyone else has been doing I started a hunt for another c band dish. I figured the best place to start was put an ad on Craig's list. I get a response from some fta dealer in California that he has them on his web site. I am not going to buy one from Ca but figured I would take a look...

Damn Ice, what did you do to that dish? I'm sure it wasn't it's fault! :D
