I just really don't want to spend $30+ on an old analog receiver and find out C-SPAN won't come in. I've looked around on various forums and nobody has answered this particular question, to my knowledge. I should note, I’m in the 42dBW region of the footprint for 131W.

How well is reception with a 1.2m dish? I’m interested in seeing if I can receive C-SPAN with it. I do have a perfectly good 10' mesh dish, but I record TV programs with it constantly, plus I really don’t want to move it to 131W because it isn’t motorized; the 1.2m dish, however, is much easier...

It's almost like nobody has ever heard of this feed. I've posed this question on a different forum and am getting no response. The feed was 4080 H 31250. It was just an HD and SD Fox/MyNetworkTV feed. Last time I saw the feed was a few years ago. I'll have to check myself and see.

I remember a few years ago, Fox/MyNetworkTV had a distrubiton feed at 99.2 west on 4080 H. I remember they had 2 channels on the transponder: 'G16/19' and 'G16/19 HD'. Are those feeds still around? I know Fox has their syndication feeds on 4060 V, but these were slightly different.

Not sure if it's on my end, but earlier today, the "troubled 3" (Decades, H&I, Movies!) are having trouble once again. They didn't have trouble for months. As soon as "My Three Sons" comes on the Decades Binge, the channels start acting up. :crying

Just an update on the SES 1 issue: All 3 channels (Decades, H&I, and Movies!) are coming in fantastic on a MicroHD as of 4:53pm EDT. Also, this is the 10th straight day without any problems (knock on wood).

Got word from somebody that the 3 channels are, once again, having problems. I'm not sure if that's true, though, as I'm currently on the Ku side of SES 3 for the presidential debate.

If I wasn't in a rush, I would, but I'm going to possibly get the M1HD and use it for a brief period of time. Like I said, I'm not sure.

Does that receiver still receive Decades? I'm just buying one just to receive Decades. Sounds crazy, yes, but I watch that channel more than H&I and Movies!. I could always watch Movies! on Galaxy 16, so it's no big deal.

Looks like I'm in a bad situation to be in. I don't see myself recording my programs in the next 3 weeks. Amazon no longer has any V7's on their website. V8's are expensive and every listing on eBay are overseas.

What are the receivers that still pick these 3 channels up? I need the names of them. I'm going to purchase one of those recovers just so I can watch one of Decades' "Binges" in about 3 weeks. EDIT: Does the Freesat V7 still work with these? I've tried to hold off buying that receiver because...

As of 1:20am EDT, Decades and Movies! are coming in surprisingly strong on the MicroHD with signal qualities of both up to 72%. It'll play 1-3 minutes straight before a dropout or two occurs! Heroes will play for about 5 seconds straight before dropping out to 0% signal quality. I sure hope it...

I haven't scanned SES 1 in about 3 weeks. I assume problems still persist on the troubled 3 transponders? How is Decades doing? There are some programs I want to record on July 18th and I hope the signal dropouts aren't too bad. I have a MicroHD. At last check, Decades and Movies! we're coming...

I used to get H&I at 72% signal quality. Now recently, the signal has dropped. Now, I've also noticed that the signal will completely drop a few times. Like today, the signal will jump from 62% to 60% to 58% to 8% or 0%. This just keeps happening. No other channels on SES 1 have this problem...

How can you tell whether a receiver has a good ID number?

What type of kind of receiver would anyone recommend? Plus, how would I order programming? And also, how would they unscramble the programming after I ordered it?

I've always seen this over on AMC 18 (105W), but I've never knew anything about it besides it being scrambled (presumably pay) channels all scrambled via DigiCipher II. What is HITS Quantum? Is it subscription based? Could I still buy a subscription by chance? I need some information on this.
