Saw what looks like a fiber dish on ebay 8' Beechcraft C-Band Ku-Band FTA Satellite Dish w/ Actuator + 31"x33" small dish. Item number 322233977993. In Pueblo, Colorado. Seems like all the great FTA gear is in CO.

So the dish I have has the same type of polar mount as in the pictured I posted and no broken ribs on the dish. It's completely disassembled into 8 pieces plus the mount pieces. I need a pole for it, because the pole I got at the scrap yard is a 3" OD pole and apparently this mount has a 4"...

How is the ku performance on yours? Any tips for stabilizing it?

Doing a google image search turns up nothing similar for Prodelin or M/a Com. Do you have any example images you can think of? Ideally, I'd like to find some posts about similar dishes so I know what I'm getting into. I'm thinking of going all out on this thing for Ku, because I already have a...

I'm guessing by polar mount, they mean it goes on a pole. I'll bet it comes with an az/el mount.

Think there would be any problems putting it on a 3" pole? Also, how would the performance compare to a 1.2M Offset Ku dish?

I have a dish that like the one in these two pictures (the one on the right in the first picture). Any idea of it's make/model? Anyone know if it's any good for Ku?

Wish I lived in Central NJ, or anywhere close. I'd love to have the superjack, the chapparal lnb and the 4dtv.

FYI, that is a DMX-741 not a BSC-621 in your pictures. Also, the scalar ring looks to be too far back on the LNB, at least when compared to my setup. You need to measure from the tip of the feedhorn to the dish and make sure it's the right focal length away or you will get no signal. But first...

C-band is definitely easier, you can be all kinds of off on your true-south and still get a little blip of a signal. Ku is much less forgiving.

Brian: This is really cool of you to do. I just got a C1PLL, and I'm excited to see how it performs on low symbol rates on my 10' dish. Anyone want to gift me their original ASC1? ;) I'll pay shipping!
