So the HD200 will only output digital audio? Nothing from the analog stations? I was hoping that the connection between the units would carry both analog and digital audio and video.

Hey gang, got my HDD200 today. To hook it up do I just use that digital cable that came with it to my 920? And does that then pass all audio and video, requiring me to only output via the HDD200? Also, are there are free HD feeds I can try it out on to make sure it's working?

Really? I thought if you had the receiver mod'd and not the HDD200 then it worked with everything. My bad!

The R5000 mod makes it a little less cumbersome.

Not yet. Waiting on my HDD200 to get here before I really go crazy with it :). SD does look very nice though I will say. Very clean quality.

Makes sense I guess. I know for instance that different OTA receivers measure signal strength different ways, and that it is often confusing ;). No idea why everyone doesn't just use a 1-100 scale, but whatever. I was really only concerned because of the problems I already had with the coax...

See my post right above yours, but thanks! DC light seems to finally be working. No idea HOW I got the map last time without a quality level or a DC lock, but I did. Weird! Still concerned about signal levels overall, but I'm not sure what they SHOULD be.

I'm looking good! Locked G0 9 in, reset, brought it back up and then had both quality and a DC lock ;). Then I locked in G1 5 and then G1 3 got a DC light and quality level. So I'm feeling pretty good right now. I still worry about why my signal levels are so low. Seems to me it should be...

They said it was fine, just not authorized for programing yet (which I knew).

Good plan, I'll do that tonight. Otherwise the NPS reps did suggest getting my box repaired or even replaced. Expensive but I may have to bite the bullet if this doesn't do it.

I was on G1 Channel 3 which should be digital, but I'm not getting digital locks anywhere even though it is downloading info. Puzzling.

I know before the reset I had a Quality meter next to the signal strength. It's gone now. I'll call NPS and see what they have to say. If I have the HDD200 then it will output 5.1 anyway won't it?

Question... what is the difference between and LNB and an LNBF, and how do I know which one I have? I can't find the paper I wrote it down on!

Very weird... I left the receiver on G1 3 a while ago. Just went back downstairs and the date/time changed. Not quite right, but closer ;). I also now have a TON of satellites to choose from incluging G0. I removed my C3 map and added C4 and correctly found it (QVC rocks!). No guide data...

Correct, limited to 24 channels on any sat.
