    Titanium LNBF Problem

I'm sure you already knew it but I thought I'd mention it for those that didn't: "On the C138 and C238 LNBF models, the “0” is aligned with the horizontal polarity probe. If installing on a motorized polar mount, drive the dish to the highest point of the arc and align the “0” scale mark with...

    ME TV

Same for me here. It's been up every time I've checked. Watched my usual Saturday night shows last night. Compared to the readings I got on May 4th, the SNR is down .8dB on the 8ft dish and is now at 10.0dB. The 10ft dish is down 1.3dB and is now at 12.0dB.

    Enjoy 107w While It Lasts

I made a few adjustments to the elevation and declination of my 7½ ft Unimesh dish yesterday evening and tuned it up using the meter I just got from Titanium. After reading this thread I scanned 119W and this is what I got on that dish.

    Need help with ses 1

Attached is a picture of some of my dishes and two screen captures I just made, one from each of my Edision os mio 4K receivers. The 8ft picture is from the Sadoun 8ft 9 section dish with a dual ortho feed. The 10ft picture is from a 10ft Channel Master mesh dish I'm still working on that has...

    Ses 1.

Which specific Amiko receiver do you have? Every one I've bought, beginning with the Alien SHD-8900 in February 2012 received mpeg2 and mpeg4.

    Need a Good Signal Meter

I must be lucky too. I've had my Sathero SH200 since December 21, 2011 and except for the battery only lasting about an hour now, it's still performing almost as well as when it was new. I've thought about getting a newer meter but as long as this one still does what I need, I'm not going to.

    12ftr. Aquired!!

I don't have that particular receiver but on the Amiko receivers I have, when a C-Band satellite is selected the Standard default LNB LO is 5150.

    Storm preparation for C-Band dishes

We're doing well so far. Heaviest weather is supposed to come thru this area beginning later this evening and tomorrow. We've had light to moderate rain and wind here but nothing heavy yet. Just saw an update on the storm that said it was moving west at 2 miles per hour. Going to take a while to...

    Storm preparation for C-Band dishes

Thanks for the information guys. When I posted the question I had already removed the center plate and put the 8ft Sadoun dish in bird bath position. Now all my C-band dishes look like bird baths (with the center plates removed from both solid dishes). I removed the actuators from all of them...

    Storm preparation for C-Band dishes

I'm finishing our preparations for hurricane Florence and have a question about my dishes. During thunderstorms I move my C-band dishes to the furthest west they'll go (about 135W for me) and the only problems I've ever had were because of lightning, not the high winds. However, with the...

    Fate of C Band

    Recommendations for 4K Receivers

Thanks for the info Michael. If I get another 4K receiver any time soon it will probably be the A4K. Currently, HEVC capability is more important to me so the next receiver is likely to be a Mini HD265.

    Recommendations for 4K Receivers

Since you brought it up Michael, how do you like the A4K? The menus appear to be the same style as the original A3 and A3 Combo. Any obvious problems or things not working? I use the A3 Combo every day and it does everything the specs say it should. I also use the A3's routinely, like the...

    What satellite is this?

Yeah, like Magic said, Arsat 2 @ 81.0W. That MUX is H.265 HEVC (but not 4K) so you'll need a receiver that supports H.265 to get any video if it goes ITC again. Some other receivers will scan the channels as radio and play the audio if it's not encrypted.

Installing my first motorized C Band Satellite Dish (w/pictures)

Yeah, I posted it at about 10:45 PM, post #145 in that thread. Post #146 was by ke4est and also included a copy of your post. Both those posts are now gone and post #145 is Rambohack's reply to an earlier post. I don't understand why it was deleted. Here's what I posted that has now been...

    Saved V-Box position location question

Glad you got it figured out Arion. I seldom FTP into the box. Generally I just use the database transform function to export the database xml files. After saving a backup copy and then making the desired changes to the applicable file, I use the database transform function again to import it...

    Saved V-Box position location question

I don't have an Icecrypt S3750CHD but from what I've read, it's an updated version of the Amiko Alien2 with some additional features. It still dual boots to Spark software or Enigma 2 if you choose and the latest screen shots I've seen show it has the same DBase, Kernel, and U-Boot versions as...

    NASA-HD On G13

The only dish I have here that currently has LOS to 127W is a 7½ft Unimesh with a C2W-PLL (and two damaged mesh panels that I haven't tried to repair yet). I generally get NASA with a quality of 71-72 on the A3's and 72-73 on the Alien2. Quality for AXS TV is usually 74-76 on the A3's. If I...

Kijiji, eBay, and Craigslist dishes for you to take a look at

I'm interested. Been looking for a 10 footer and also an 8 footer. What kind of shape is the mesh in? It's kind of hard to tell from the picture. I'm just north of Charlotte. Ernie

Kijiji, eBay, and Craigslist dishes for you to take a look at

If that dish is still in use and it's aimed at DTV satellites, the elevation looks like it would be located in Alaska (approx. 13º) instead of Texas (approx. 53º). Or maybe I'm looking at it wrong.
