Is there any kind of kit to use multiple feedhorn/LNB's on a single dish?

I am using pipe clamps to attach a second LNBF. On my 8' dish, I get 6 deg. spacing for 99W (Focus) and 105W (offset), at best. On my 10' dish, I get 4 deg. spacing for 97W (focus) and 101W (offset).

    pay channels

Several of us wish we still had ala carte C-Band services. Equipment costs for receivers has gone down, but the program owners want so much $$$ to allow subscriptions, and administrative costs are probably high. Not looking like an inviting investment in today's market.

Digital Breakup on 101 C Band

I also am curious about the overheating issue. I had an early model that overheated and died. X2 did replace it under warranty with no charge. The replacement unit did get hot, but I mounted it so that there was no obstruction below or above it, and it has run continuously for the past few...

Any suggestions for fixing a rusty rim? Or is this dish even worth saving?

Since it's a 10 foot dish, getting it repaired seems possible. Even if your new side isn't perfect, it will be close enough to get you some good performance. I encourage you to try, if you can put in the effort!

Any suggestions for fixing a rusty rim? Or is this dish even worth saving?

I am using a 10 foot mesh button-hook, with success, even though it is dented in one area of the outer ring. Your situation is worse than mine, but if you can implement the suggestion by Armadillo, you may end up with a usable dish. You can usually find metal conduit at hardware suppliers that...

    Dish, etc info from 1993-1994

Cleaning out my garage, I have found brochures for satellite equipment from the early 1990's, when I was in business. Information includes the following, if you need a copy, I can scan and email: ProBrand International - (Superjack HQ series of actuators). VonWeise Actuators. Drake ESR series...

    DMS Vbox 7 Transformer?

The 1N540* series of diodes are all 3 Amp, the last digit indicates the voltage rating. If you want a 5 Amp rating, any of the FR504, FR505, FR506, FR507 would do, but would be somewhat larger physically. I think that they would mount in that area, with some care...

    DMS Vbox 7 Transformer?

Lone; You definitely have an over load on the transformer. It is best to find the over load before running the transformer hot any more. A picture of the circuit board may show a faulty component, sometimes a bad component shows signs of over heating. Visual inspection may help, or if you...

The Kaultronics brand was good. I agree with FaT Air, looks like a good catch, if in good shape. I would seriously consider it, if in need of the dish!

    Hit the Jackpot

It sounds like you want to do what I have done. I have one 8 ft stationary on 99W and 105W [Dual C-band LNBFs]; one 10 ft moveable on 97W and 103W [Dual C-band LNBFs]; and one 90cm Ku moveable usually aimed at 125W. I have attached the connection diagram. Satellite_System Hookup_2016.pdf This...

Anyone remember this from the Analog days???

Well, I see that I'm not the only one that could hook up a 5 1/4" drive to use the really 'floppy' disk. Still, I am enjoying these days, with the technology advancements that we have now....

    Got a bigger dish

Congratulations!!! Good Job !! waylew has a good idea for the button hook. Mine is off to one side, and I think others I've seen are also this way. Could just be the way the original installer put them.

    Turning all power off

The black mesh dish looks like a good one. I'm using a 10' black mesh buttonhook, similar to that, but not exactly the same. It works really good for me. the second one looks good also, yes, does look like a smaller dish, but still useful. Do collect them both !!

    Free "dish movers"

Those Drake receivers were extremely well built. I use one for a dish mover and have it programmed to go to a satellite position using the last 2 digits of the longitude entered into the remote, to move into position. Works great! YES - they are heavy, used real METAL, instead of plastic and...

    Opinion on dual lnb holder

My Avatar shows an older mounting arrangement for 99W and 105W on a 2.4 meter stationary dish. I should take some newer photos.... I have remounted this arrangement and changed to 2 dual C-Band LNBFs. I also set 2 dual C-Band LNBFs on my 10 ft mesh buttonhook dish to receive101W and 97W. I'm...

    Not one inch

Some of the cable {C-Band Ribbon Cable} that I have on my mesh dish has been there for well over 15 years, and it wasn't new when I installed it in the late 80's.
