I think my Powermax VBox Died!!!

Thanks KE!! I think i can eliminate the actuator! I have a new bottom half of the actuator that i swaped out and still the ER2! so its either the wireing or the vbox.I do have another vbox to try! Working kinda funny at times but worked enough to see if its the box or wireing.

    KU LNB reliability for BUD

I have very good results using a dmx741 c/ku LNB on my 6 footer. The KU is just about as good as my 3 footer ku setup. Some here have had not so good results with using a c/ku combo Lnb though.

10 foot BUD slowly drifting West??

My V box will also loose or gain a few counts now and then. Most of the time just moving the dish to the next Position number on the v box and back again will fix the problem.

Maybe my first BUD - Questions

Looks like a nice BUD!Dosnt look like that much work will be needed.Thats a good reliable actuator on the dish!Looks like a old type LNB which uses servos so i would replace that with a new c-band LNB or a c/ku band combo like a 741 if you want to use both bands.Dont know what kind of receiver...

At what size does bigger not make a differance

After reading the thread on the bigg dish i was wondering at what point will having a bigger disk make no differance in what you can get from a LOS satellite. Is a 24 ft dish really going to make any differance in what you can get or is it more of a statis thing and overkill.

    Question about Actuators Specifications

For me i can get most of the arc (30 to 135) with a 24" on my 6 ftr! a 18 or smaller would most certainly limit me to a smaller part of the arc.
