HDTV Set For DXing??

Has anyone found a set that will work for DXing, that is channel freq can be entered without a scan?

The old Sami 151 is good for DXing, you can direct enter DTV chs, you can even have more that one set of say 7.1/7.2 I can get 7.1 from more that one city ant the same time.

I had a small 7" tv I was able to do that with.. which was kind of neat.. but I'm lazy and always hit scan.. lol..

im lazy too, I will reaim my antenna and then do a rescan on the Dish vip 622 it does not lose the saved channels It just adds more which is nice.

If you are in the flat mid west area of the U.S. any ATSC receiver should work for ATSC DXing. The newer A/74 compliant ATSC receivers are what I use now. These tuners have multi signal processing that handle signal delay kind of mimics OFDM type modulation. Unfortunately the ATSC receiver manufacturers dont list if they are A/74 compliant in the the manual. For HDTV DXing I know the Samsung DTB-H260F and the ePVision PHD-205 use A/74 compliant chips all of the coupon approved converter boxes have to be A/74 compliant all dont seem to be equal. I recently purchased an Apex DT250 converter box first day testing the DXing capabilities did 110 miles in Florida. The Samsung DTB-H260F, ePVision PHD-205, and Apex DT250 do have manual channel input.

Are you sure about the Sami DTB-H260F, I talked to a guy a few days ago and he said you had to scan to add new channels. No direct input.

This should hit a lot of folks with a dose of reality. I can only imagine how much more common this will get as AI progresses.

I read several stories on this and most are clear as mud. They say a lot of the stolen bitcoin has been "locked out" and that everyone will be made financially whole. I guess time will tell if either of these statements are actually true.

The "Secure Asset Fund" had about $1 billion in reserves... in Bitcoin.

The fund started in 2018, so it may take a while to make investors whole, much less replenish the fund.

It states the average amount they are under water is OVER $7,000. :eek

Personally, I tend to be the type that drives a vehicle for a lot of years....do my own oil changes and other fluid changes. Just replaced the spark plugs and a couple coils. Youtube is great for things like this.

Hopper 3 with Hopper plus internet connection problems

Over the past few weeks, I have had problems connecting to streaming services (Netflix, HBO et al). When I go to the TV's native Channels, I have no problem. The Dish internet troubleshooter shows I have a good internet connection. I'm wondering whether it's an issue with my internet provider or a problem with the Dish software on the Hopper Plus. Anyone else seeing this?

I have a DISH Hopper 3 (Software H713) with Hopper Plus (Software P15403). I have not tried streaming services but I primarily watch TVB Jadeworld international package which is only available by streaming and when I have an issue, I usually have to go to a non-streaming satellite channel first before the streaming channels will work again. What software versions do you have and what is the error message if any are showing on your screen? or is that Dish downloading logo just stuck and never finishes?

Did it ever work correctly before? Hard to say what the problem is. Usually for streaming, it will show the Dish logo with lines sweeping down to show downloading, never seen the circle issue. Did you try a manual reboot, red button reset, power cord unplug/replug to see if it makes a difference.

Might be worth just to ditch the hopper plus. No issues here on h713

Buy a roku and dump the hopper plus you'll be better off. If you have a smart tv you don't need either one. No hopper plus here and no issues!!!
