Dish response to me being disappointed that they chose to take Fuse off the air

There was a thread about Dish taking Fuse off the air and adding Palladia(well, I already had it but they must have added it to another package?)

The thread had a link to the Fuse website where you could send a request to keep Fuse on Dish Network.

Here is the Dish response I received in an email yesterday: :rant:

Dear Dish Network:
I am disappointed that you have chosen to take Fuse off the air. As a Dish customer who is interested in the best in music programming on television I want to voice my extreme displeasure. With so much competition from other providers for my business, I would expect my opinion should matter to you. Please put Fuse back on my channel line-up.

Fuse is a chump channel and so is AMC. I really don't get those who are whining about the loss of such lame channels. R.I.P to Fuse, I say. Now, IFC, I do like, and they do air some "original" or British sitcoms (The IT Crowd being one) that are not seen on any other channel in the U.S.

A real music channel

Now Voom was a real music channel. It carried Later w/ Jools Holland from Britain. Fuse was in SD so I didn't even know what it was until E* dropped it and Fuse thread showed up.

Maybe back in the day AMC was a chump channel, or maybe it was just because I was younger but I would be highly ticked if I couldn't watch Breaking Bad, and there is the upcoming "The Walking Dead" that is coming to AMC in Oct. I can't wait for that. I haven't watched IFC in a long time and FUSE never really interested me, except maybe the occasional music video. Everyone has different tastes, hence different TV channels. I never thought I would be watching MTV2 again but Lucha Libre wrestling starts up this Friday.

Agreed :up

I didnt' even watch Fuse because it was in SD, I only watch HD. So the only reason I responded to the request to keep it on was because someone posted about it and asked others to go to the Fuse website and submit the request to keep it on. Of course, I knew Dish would not do it, but I hate to see any channel be lost.

It just seems like Dish is losing a lot of channels and that is not good, if they are SD only channels I will probably never even know about it. :rant:

An additional note: we all know that song titles, sometimes, use profane words. Because this is a family friendly website it is advised that you clean up that title up a bit. This is accomplished by using something like sh!t instead of the real word. Thanks....

Hopper 3 with Hopper plus internet connection problems

Over the past few weeks, I have had problems connecting to streaming services (Netflix, HBO et al). When I go to the TV's native Channels, I have no problem. The Dish internet troubleshooter shows I have a good internet connection. I'm wondering whether it's an issue with my internet provider or a problem with the Dish software on the Hopper Plus. Anyone else seeing this?

I have a DISH Hopper 3 (Software H713) with Hopper Plus (Software P15403). I have not tried streaming services but I primarily watch TVB Jadeworld international package which is only available by streaming and when I have an issue, I usually have to go to a non-streaming satellite channel first before the streaming channels will work again. What software versions do you have and what is the error message if any are showing on your screen? or is that Dish downloading logo just stuck and never finishes?

I'm on H713 on the Hopper and P15403 on the Hopper Plus. It shows internet connection issues and doesn't finish loading the various services. I see the "loading circle going around. Sometimes I get a message saying that the service is having trouble loading my content and to check the internet connection.

Did it ever work correctly before? Hard to say what the problem is. Usually for streaming, it will show the Dish logo with lines sweeping down to show downloading, never seen the circle issue. Did you try a manual reboot, red button reset, power cord unplug/replug to see if it makes a difference.

Might be worth just to ditch the hopper plus. No issues here on h713

Buy a roku and dump the hopper plus you'll be better off. If you have a smart tv you don't need either one. No hopper plus here and no issues!!!
